Report time

-> <-

All right, been a busy couple of weeks.

Character sheets were released, and if you haven't looked, there's some really cool updates. Not only were the hand to hand forms included and the handedness issue cleaned up, but we also launched a massive force power program. You'll be able to actually buy the powers that you want your character to have. This program is expandable, too, so it's a cool bit of infrastructure that we have built in now.

Also included is the fetal stages of an Order Discipline system. Right now, there is the ability to buy points in what are called 'Order Disciplines', specializations within the three orders that help define a character better. Also, some robes and sabers were launched, and while at the moment, they are limited only by order (Any Obelisk can select the Assassin robes or saber), the coders are working on making it reliant on the actual discipline you pick (so only Assassins can get the assassin stuff, etc). The Disciplines are also going to be giving out neat bonuses on specific things on the character sheets.

But for now, enjoy a few graphics of the new stuff:

And, speaking of things that the Orders get to enjoy...There are a few new things that you can do with your warbanner, provided that you're in the right order (obviously), and Equite 2. If you want one of these beauties, note that you want the order specific banner in your normal warbanner request.

And yeah, here's what they look like.

Questions!

Joseem asks: About the Face selector...Basically, how many different races were you able to come up with and will the generator be connected to the new Character Sheets?

This is a good question, even though i don't typically talk about stuff that is yet to launch. There's 15 of the most prolific races for the DB in the selector as we're working it right now. Aside from the races, there's enough customization for each that makes it pretty easy to get something pretty unique. And yes, it will be displayed on the character sheets.

And now, for the chicks.

And that's all for this time. Any questions, or anything i can help with, pm me on IRC or shoot me an email. Have fun!

So...do all the Order warbanners look the same? What sort of customization flexibility do we have with them?

The ones i show above are color-coded. Red=sith, Purple=krath, Blue=obelisk. The templates have different striping available and the colors can be changed, but if you're a sith, you can't have the obelisk one, so on.

I meant more along the lines of: The one I see for Korras. Is that the only option Obelisks have for their type of Warbanner? If not, what can be customized, and what/where are those customization options?

Nice report, Muz! Everything looks awesome.

Any reason why the new WBs are E2 +? Will there be options for E1 and DJK and JH?

If I had to guess, the new warbanners are EQ2+ because it's supposed to be a perk that you get for busting your ass to do all the work that getting EQ2 and higher requires. If all members got the same perks then there wouldn't be much of an incentive to do the work to get promoted. You'll get there, it's just a matter putting in the work, and when you get there you'll get the perks.

Andan is right. EQ2 is a really big promotion for Equites, aside from EQ4. At that point, you can request a custom saber, in terms of the original warbanners, you get perks that are different from the ones at DJK/EQ1. So, yes. It's something extra for the work one puts forth.
