QUAESTORS REPORT #1

House Marka Ragnos

1 January 2009

A Happy New Year!

This is my first report, and I intentionally waited to release it until the new year. New house summit,

new beginnings, a new Great Jedi War right around the corner. All very exciting things for all of us.

I look forward to working with our new Aedile, Archpriest Jades "Imperial" Atema, to get things

moving in a positive direction for the House.

Much of what would normally be in my report has been already set out for you in the reports of the

Aedile and the Clan Summit, so I wont waste your time with repetition. A few news items of note,

however.

IMPORTANT NOTES

To get the bad news out of the way first, I have been asked by our Consul to conduct an AWOL

check before the Great Jedi War begins. Please e-mail myself and Jades ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]

and [Log in to view e-mail addresses]) within the next two weeks to let us know youre alive. If I dont

hear from you, youll get one follow-up e-mail, then I will unfortunately have to start roguing people.

A note on Inter-Clan Recruiting - the Master-at-Arms and Justicar have let the Dark Summit know

that they frown on actively recruiting members away from other Clans. This is especially true if there is

any sort of quid pro quo about promotions and medals in exchange for changing Clans. So, feel free to

talk up how great Clan Naga Sadow is, but dont actively try to get people to defect, and especially

dont do it by promising them medals and promotions if they come here. Bad things will happen, and

that would make me sad.

NEWS

Unification: The Ninth Great Jedi War begins in late January. Between now and then, things will

probably be a little lighter than normal, competition-wise, because we need to save up our energy for

the big event.

Congratulations to our newest Dark Jedi Knight, Kalei Basai, to Ashura Isradia on being

promoted to Sith Battlelord, and to Mack Deslin on being promoted to Acolyte.

Welcome to Apprentice Dace Talo, Apprentice Kabon, Apprentice Randor, and Acolyte Mack

Deslin, all of whom have joined the House since the last Quaestors report!

HOUSE ROLLMASTER

With Jades promotion to Aedile, there is now a vacancy in the position of House Rollmaster. The

Rollmasters will be responsible for assisting the Quaestor and Aedile in welcoming and mentoring new

members, and will be largely responsible for administering the Master/Student program.

To apply, please send an e-mail to myself, Jades, and our esteemed Consul and Proconsul, with details

on why you feel you would be suitable for the position. Im not going to specify a minimum rank for the

position, though I expect that a successful applicant would have shown some dedication to the Dark

Brotherhood.

HOUSE PLOT AND RUNON

When last we left the intrepid heroes of House Marka Ragnos, Ragnos Cathedral was in ruins,

destroyed by Vong explosives apparently placed by the Houses own former Aedile, who is now in

custody. Dark Jedi have been disappearing in the arctic on Tarthos. A new Quaestor has been

appointed. Where will all this lead? Well, some of that is up to you. Participate in the HMR runon

story here.

ANTEI COMBAT CENTER AND NEW CHARACTER SHEETS

With the Great Jedi War coming up, there will be many, many (did I say many!) opportunities to win

awards for participating in the ACC. But to do so, first you must qualify! At the moment, that requires

passing the ACC Initiates Course at the Shadow Academy, completing your character sheet, and

having a qualifying battle.

Also, to clarify something that was in Jades report - with the departure of DJM Sith

Bloodfyre-Tarentae as Combat Master, the planned competition and Vendetta ranks training that were

announced are no longer valid. However, you can qualify more easily now, with the assistance of any

qualified member of the clan. See the full details in Combat Master Halcyon Rokirs news posting

here. Note that you will need an OLD character sheet to qualify currently, though you should still get

your new, improved (and very, very cool) character sheet squared away, as they will be used in the

ACC as soon as it can release new rules and make code adjustments.

In conclusion, I look forward to working with all of you through the next year to make House Marka
