Clan Scholae Palatinae,

_ Thran Occasus sat in his office with a Cheshire Cat grin. Lucien had disappeared; vanished into thin air. The Emperor was an old friend of the particularly guilty looking Bakuran, indeed they had fought together in the Glory Days of Clan Exar Kun, into the Early years in Clan Plagueis. It wasnt until later in their lives that conflict started to arise between them; Thran with his lust for more power, and Lucien with his desire to keep the power he had. It created a tumult between them and it set a different tone for Luciens term as Consul. Both were adored by the Clan, but perhaps by two very different camps. Any investigator with half of a brain would have blamed Occasus first, superiors vanishing suddenly was his Modus Operandi.

Though the grin on his face said differently, his heart was heavy. With Luciens sudden departure, it put him closer to the Throne of Scholae Palatinae than hed ever been. He had hoped his ascension would be unabated, but hoping never really accomplished much of anything. As he rocked in his chair, he thought about how he could play his hand. A Palpatine and a Kaeth had disappeared, and he was the prime suspect. It was not based upon evidence, merely the lingering suspicions that tended to accumulate around such a man as himself; A Sith.

For once in his life, Thran was entirely innocent. He did not know what had happened to Lucien, but he had felt the unrest in the Emperors heart well before the reports of uprising made their way to the Throne Room. Now, in the wake of an impeding investigation by the Envoys of the Iron Throne, the Palpatine family, and hundreds of other interested sources, Thran needed to focus. Hed snatch the Throne, if it wouldnt make him look culpable.

No, Thran Occasus needed to maintain his lifestyle, and pretend that nothing had happened. His reward would come in time. He leaned back in his chair and called in his assistant.

Miss Coral, like clockwork, rushed in.

Yes Sir? she asked, pushing a pair of stylish square framed glasses back onto the bridge of her nose.

Em. How is the Investors Gala preparation going? he said, impulsively fiddling with the scratchy facial hair protruding from his chin.

GoodEverything will be ready in just under an hour. Would you like me to call your tailor now to get your suit fitted properly? she asked.

Yes, that would be fine. He replied, still picking at his chin.

She noticed. Tipping her glasses down to examine him, she said with a smile. And the barber too, you look like you could use a good warm lather and shave.

He nodded. Oh, and Em. Send my Report to the Clan, Make sure it clearly says PROconsul.

She picked up the datapad with the same Cheshire Cat grin. Of Course, Thran.

Lucien rejoins the Force

_Lucien Kaeth Palpatine has resigned his spot of Consul and left the DJB. Unless you have been under a rock for the last week, you should have heard about this by now. We thank our Beloved Former Leader for his dedication to the clan. The details of why Lucien left are somewhat personal, and I personally wish him luck in all his Real Life endeavors.

Now, where does that leave CSP?

Well, Unfortunately for you lot, youre still stuck with me. Until a new Consul is appointed, I am in charge of CSP (Which is both an awesome and terrifying concept). Accordingly, Im calling the shots for the time being. I do want to extend some comfort to you all, though. Although Lucien has left, The Summit and I are working very diligently to make sure that the Clan stays stable and continues to kick butt. Life in the Clan is going on as it normally does, and we will work extra hard to make sure we pick up the slack.

As is standard Protocol, the position has been opened to applications and the Summit is working where while the application process goes on. Rumors.

No, I am not talking about the Platinum Selling 1977 Album by Fleetwood Mac. (I actually like that Album quite a bit.)

I am talking about all the dirty crazy things I heard in the first 12 hours after Luciens departure. I understand that you all were scared and nervous about what was going to happen, but never the less. There was a lot of He-said-she-said crap going on.

Now, normally I find that stuff somewhat amusingbut in this case I was concerned. People vastly misinterpreted what was going on when Lucien left, and lots of things passed over my PM screen that I wish I hadnt really seen or read. Not a single person who was spreading these rumors was directly involved in the situation that went down.

Im not going to say much more than thatJust make sure you check your facts before you go and start blabbing about what PersonX said PersonY did.
