The yellow-orange sun was being devoured by the far horizon on the south pole of Antenorra. The cold and the dark were stealthily creeping up from behind the black figure silhouetted by the dying light. Draco Maligo stood in the desert sands, his onyx robe flapping in the sirocco, dust devils whirling about his feet. Time was short. But then, it always was. The galaxy was always in a state of flux, seeming stretches of peace broken continually by the ravages of war. But peace was a lie. A simple, thin veneer covering a roiling soup of injustice, strife and hatred. The Jedi were wrong. They could pretend to be above human emotion, but in the end they were always drawn into the very heart of turmoil. Always.

The Tetrarch had done what he could in the brief span of time to ready his team for the war. For it was surely coming, as sure as the Force. Visions of death and destruction visited the Dark Jedi Knight in his dreams and in his waking moments of reverie. Soon again, very soon, it would be time to draw the sword and either kill or perish. Never enough time to plan and arm. But then again, war was its own teacher.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

After another MSQL attack the DB site is up and operational. The GJW has been rescheduled to start this Sunday, March 8, 2009.

Big news is, of course, the GJW. It is a great forum for advancement. Many different activities will be available for members; fiction, gaming, puzzles, graphics. You should be able to find something enjoyable, so jump right in. And success doesn’t depend on rank. In GJW 7, I earned a ton of points for my former clan, and was promoted from GRD to JH by the Combat Master for finishing 11th on the ACC ladder. So even though you all are journeymen, I urge you to participate.

The clan IRC channel is #scholae, and the house channel is #acclivisdraco. If any of you would like to chat live drop in. I’m on most evenings, and am willing to discuss many things: Star Wars, History, Current Events, your personal life. Sometimes the conversations get a little randy, but Dark Jedi shouldn’t be easily offended.

Invites were sent to all of you to join the Google group Ebon Cloak, and only two of you have responded. It doesn’t cost anything and it provides a good forum for us to communicate with the group via email.
