Phoenix Phyle Report #15

Right, so it’s not been a week, but my inbox is so full of things I have to congratulate people on that if I don’t write a report now I think it might explode!! It’s been a great start to the GJW, but don’t forget that the first fiction comp ends on the 14th (Saturday), so only a few more days to get your entries in for that! Also the first round of trivia ends soon, and it only takes a few minutes to participate, so go get that done if you haven’t already!! On top of that all those helping with the Battle Plan – the deadline again is Saturday, so get busy! ;) Details of all three are below.

So enough nagging, on the with congratulations and ice-cream rewards!

First and foremost Erinyes pointed out after my last report that while I had congratulated Vardar on his new sparkly character sheet, I had failed to congratulate her on her endless patience getting him through the SA in the first place! Alongside that, she’s done the trivia for the week, got her fiction submission in, and started help plan for the BP, as well as signing up for the ACC, getting her new CS submitted and working on the run-on…. So Erinyes hun, have free access to the ice-cream lockers for a week – you truly deserve it, I could not ask for anymore!!!

Next up is Lannie who’s been deluging my inbox with SA ‘passed’ emails, working towards her Dark Side Degrees…the list goes something like this:

James has checked in and I know he’s really busy with school right now, so is let off my nagging to a certain extent ;) If you do get a spare 5 minutes to look at the trivia before the deadline tho that’d be fab!!

To everyone else – if you’ve been doing things you’ve been forgetting to keep me in the loop, and if you haven’t why not!!! The hassling will start in ernest soon, so if RL’s making things manic let me know, otherwise I’ll just be adding more stress to your pile of troubles!!

As for me? So far I’ve managed the trivia – not anywhere near as great a turn out as Lannie or Erinyes (both of whom are free to hassle me to their heart’s content!!), I was on –call last weekend, so didn’t have a chance to do anything then, but hoping to get a fiction submission in before the deadline!!

Fiction #1 - Write an in-character account of the discussions and activities surrounding the incoming invasion, be sure to include your character's opinions on the upcoming invasion in the story.

Rules:   

1.    Fiction must be at least two pages in length and may be as long as the Author desires; however, 10 pages of fluff fiction will not beat three pages of outstanding fiction. Arial or Times New Roman Font. Standard page size with 1 inch margins.  
   

2.    Entries MUST include ID line and DJB PIN ON the document itself. Unidentified entries will be discarded.  
   

3.    Participants have until 14 March 2359 (11:59 EST) to submit their articles.  
   

4.    All submissions should be sent to gjw9fiction@gmail.com.  
   

Trivia - Weekly trivia event. Each week will consist of 20 multiple choice questions concerning topics directly relevant to to the Great Jedi War.

Rules:  

1.    To participate in Trivia, go to the Trivia & Puzzles section of the GJW website, login using your DB name and password (if necessary), and and click "Start Trivia". The website will record the date and time you first access the questions.  
   

2.    Choose your answers to the questions one at a time and then click "Submit Trivia" when you're done - the website will then record date and time of your submission.  
   

Battle Plan - Battleplan event. Create a plan to execute a blockade and invasion from orbit with your clan's forces should it become necessary. If you wish to participate in the Battleplan event, please email myself and Sklib ASAP. We'll open a topic in the private RO forum to discuss the battle plan. The entry will be based off of that discussion and written by one or more members to be sent for judging.

Rules:  

1.    Clans will submit one official Battle Plan.  
   

2.    Battle Plan entries must be longer than 2 pages.  
   

3.    All submissions should be sent to gjw9misc@gmail.com.  
   

4.    Clans have until 14 March 2359 (11:59 EST) to submit their battleplans.
