Aedile Report

Greetings, Cestus!

Well, Week 3 is drawing to a close and I have to ask: Are some of you already winding down? It seems as if the posting in the run-on has diminished; we only had three people submit to the fiction event as well, and Tarentum dropped to fifth place. We can't risk dropping to last place.

I know this is a long war and it may be hard to find something exciting to write about, but this war is what you make of it, not what anyone else says. Yes, we need to follow the DC's orders, but we have liberty to make a very interesting story here. Don't be afraid to participate: We need it! Participation counts, even if you don't place; I've submitted to both fiction events so far and have yet to place. I'm not worried; there are a lot of good writers out there.

I'm happy with the way our ACCing and gaming is going, however - Huldrych and Vai have both won ACC battles, as well as our Quaestor, Kaz; Tek has also participated in ACC battles. Frosty, of course, has been our prime gamer. I want to see more of it! We need to put our all into winning this war.

My point is not to get discouraged or tired yet; if RL's getting in the way, then yeah, I can see that, but don't putter out yet. We have more than three weeks to go, and this is only the halfway point. We'll have lots of opportunities to add more to the plot and the characters as the main story progresses, plus the fiction about saving a friend from the Jedi may be five pages, but it should be very easy to write, anyway, as it's actually a decent prompt. Do the trivia, even if you know you won't be the greatest at it. Game if you can. Do ACC if you can. Post in the RO if you can; there are lots of people, including me, who can give you advice on what to do with your character in the story.

Let's see this through to the very end and kick some ass!
