I loved my vacation, but now its time to get back to business. As you see, the first of the updates that I sent to Jac, the Force Powers, have been added. A coupla more are almost ready.

The Dark Voice

My Magistrate, Vithril, is currently hopsitalized with extreme illness. We expect him back within a week or so. He has all the current issue of the DV ready to be uploaded, that is merely what we wait for.

I thank everyone for their patience, and consideration of the circumstances.

The purpose of the new Force Powers, isn't clear to a lot of people, so I'll explain.

These Force Powers represent the BASIC UNDERSTANDING specific to each Class. All Jedi of the same Class are expected to learn these Force Powers. Granted, as a Jedi progresses in rank, they will learn new applications of these powers. The same is said of Class advancement as well.

With this said, the purpose of these powers is to serve as a framework for other levels of power. The Brotherhood's leaders are shifting their focus from the importance of each, individual rank, and using the Classes, Orders, Clans, and individual character traits to enhance your individual characters.

The Journeymen will have their Clan's Powers, which they will gain through rank promotions and position promotions within their Clans.

Equites and Elders will have their Clan Powers, in addition to the Order Specific Powers, that will be described later. These too increase in power with each individual rank, making a Pontifex much more powerful than a Warrior in terms of Force Powers....a lot more powerful in fact

The Elders will have access to Order Specific Powers from all three orders, unlike the Equites. They will also have access to a special blend of Force Powers, that aren't specific to any particular order. As it is currently proposed, the Prophets will be the only beings in the universe capable of reasonably challenging a Grand Master. Quite humbling, I think.

Again, I must stress that the DSC Powers are not intended to strip power, to make things more dull. At the moment, that is what is happening. This edition was released early, so that all members might become familiar with the new powers structure, before we implemented more dramatic changes. Before you start complaining fit to tear down the Internet, remember, that this is just a first step into a much broader scheme of power development.

I know that this will utlimately make the process of character creation within the Brotherhood a much more enjoyable experience, in terms of the fictional aspects of the development.
