Tetrarch Kant Lavar, Report No. 1

11 April 2009**

The End is Where We Start From

Jedi Hunter Kant Lavar stepped into the small office set aside in Qel-Droma Temple for the Tetrarch of Prophecy Phyle. A few personal objects, smashed and the remnants scattered across the room, was mixed in with the corpses of chairs, desk, and a few other, unidentifiable objects. Lavar sighed, surveying the carnage left by the Vong’s occupation of the Temple. Only a bare few rooms that had been successfully sealed off by the House before they’d fled had escaped just this sort of destruction. Those rooms had contained equipment and artifacts too valuable to destroy that, for one reason or another, hadn’t been evacuated. But the rest of the temple, like much of the rest of the Dajorra system, was a shambles. Lavar sighed, and started sifting through the rubble, mentally listing what would need to be replaced first. The campaigns the Brotherhood staged to retake their territories were over, but the cleanup would take much longer to complete.

Obligatory Monologue

Yeah, the opening was set a few weeks in the future. Specifically, three of them, because that’s about how much longer I hear this GJW will last.

So, anyway, hooray for my first Tetrarch report. So far, it’s been quiet in Prophecy-Land. I assume this is because you are all out hard at work doing things for the GJW. If you aren’t, for frak’s sake, why? There’s a metric ton of events still going on, and if you aren’t doing anything, you are wrong. ACC, run-on, and especially gaming and the earning of Shadow Academy degrees. I understand if you can’t participate in the gaming events – heck, I can’t, since I’m using a public WiFi connection to get online right now, and I’m certain I can’t run JA or JO on a netbook, which is all the computer I have right now. But the rest of the events do not require more than occasional internet access. Heck, the RO event counts only participation, not the quality of posts. So get to gettin’.

• I am writing up two competitions, one graphics and one freeform, for after the War. I plan on giving you guys a bit of downtime first, though.

None this week, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the shinies will rain forth from the MAA’s office in buckets sometime Soon(TM).

I’m back in the United States, and I found out my unit (2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, if anyone’s interested) was the last unit in the US Army to return from a 15-month deployment. Closing Babble

Not having internet in my room is a pain in the ass. Even though I’m not wild about the idea, I may end up signing up for Comcast (I know; it’s my only option in the barracks) after all.
