Victory.

Now everyone in Arcona knows what it takes to win a Great Jedi War. Personally, I’ll be content to avoid going through such an ordeal as the last two months for a few more years at least. It’s all over now, and we ended up with the win. That is such a sweet taste, especially after such a horrid performance last year…I was thrilled.

Of course, the lion’s share of the credit must go to Malidir for his stunning show, claiming the first overall. Former Quaestor Taigikori Aybara also managed a highly respectable place, taking fifth overall. Your own Quaestor squeaked in with a tenth place, which I was quite pleased about.

As far as House Qel-Droma goes, all post-war rewards have been handed out. Congrats to all who received promotions and merit awards, and thank you for your service to the Clan and House. Novae have also been awarded, and Seals are in the mail. Now, on to some more post-war stuff.

As is always the case with GJW aftermaths, there are a few positions up for grabs. Some of these are:

• Clan Arcona Proconsul. Strategos served with distinction as interim Proconsul, but applications are officially open for a permanent leader.

• Clan Plagueis Consul. Braecen has decided to step down after leading Plagueis to a respectable Great Jedi War placing, and his position is open to Brotherhood-wide applications. If you feel qualified, go for it…but Arcona did just win some sexy robes and lightsabers, why lose them to go to Plagueis? :P

• Combat Master. Halcyon served as CM temporarily, and helped smooth over the transition to Beta sheets. Also open to Brotherhood-wide applications.

• Gaming Tribune. Dante has stepped down after a distinguished tenure as T:G, preferring to focus on his Proconsul tasks, and get fresh blood on the gaming staff. Sounds like a pretty cool job.

That’s all I can think of right now, so…on to the fictional updates! Oh, and apply for Herald Staff if you have graphics skills.

Fictional Information

The Ninth Great Jedi War plot was absolutely amazing. Raken even snagged himself a Dark Adept promotion over how sexy it was. If you didn’t read it, I highly recommend it, if for no other reason than it’s a good read. The end of the war leaves us to return to Dajorra, which we retook from the Yuuzhan Vong just before being plunged into war on Antei. In that vein, Dash is currently running a two-page fiction competition, allowing members to write about the final steps in securing the Dajorra System. Get to it.

Now that the war is over, I’ve spoken to a few members about revamping a few fictional articles pertaining to Qel-Droma, starting with the Qel-Droma Temple. Dash should be getting a pretty little email from Muz soon giving us our hard-earned Great Jedi War points to purchase new fleet assets. Hopefully a decision can be reached quickly on what goodies we want (and how many) and I can hit you with those updates next time around.
