Aedile Report

Dark Greetings Bretheren,

No sorry, that doesn't look right, too formal, too RP. Hmm

Hidely-ho memberinos!

Much better :)

Hello from your Aedile. Well, it's Friday there's no disputing that, and that means it's the weekend. Hope its a nice weather out there for most of you, it's terrible here, hardly stopped raining in twenty four hours. Shouldn't be allowed Anway, this is my first report for two years so apologies in advance. Few things I wanted to say.

Firstly myself, Sai our Quaestor and Manji our Rollmaster have been speaking a lot this week about how we want things to go in HLK. We think with all your help we can make this House something special. I've always believed the strength in this club is down to the members. There's a lot of great things in it that a lot of people have put a lot of work into creating, the Shadow Academy, the Gaming, the ACC, the Wiki, all the graphics like robes and sabers, the competitions and the miles and miles of coding that makes it all work. Loads of quality work, but without all of you and everyone else using them they're just a lot of text and pictures on a website. It's the membership that makes all this come alive.

It's the same with this House. If we want to have fun, if we want new members to come here and want to stay, and if we want people in the rogues, or people elsewhere who are unhappy where they are, to look at Ludo Kressh and Clan Naga Sadow and think it's better than where they are now, then we need to look happy, active and friendly to each other, and the best way of doing that is actually to be happy, active and friendly to each other. That involves all of you. I'd like everyone in this House and this Clan to recognise and feel good about their part in it's success.

To achieve this we in the Summit are going to give you all the help we can. We can try and answer any questions you have or point you towards someone with the answers. We can suggest activities you can take part in. We can give you competitions and runons to do, We can help you prepare your own activities for others to do, and if you're interested over time we can help you move into leadership positions of your own in the future. All we need from you is a willingness to work with us and make the effort. I'm confident that a lot of you will. I'm in IRC most nights. Admittedly often I've got a game maximised on Steam over it but if I here the familiar beeping sound I'll check it out. Or you can email one of us on the Summit for help, advice or feedback on what you want us to do.

In the time being, we've got three competitions starting tommorow as a taster between now and the end of the month. Please see the attached links.

They're nice simple comps for 4th level crescents, give them a go and see how you get on. Don't forget to include your name and dossier number so we know who to give the medals to. And remember for those of you between APP and DJK participating goes towards your next promotion.

As far as competions go, I try and aim them towards what people want to do, makes sense we're after high participation, so if theres a particular type of comp you want to see let me know and I'll put something together.

Anyway, thats all from me for now. Until next time.

Malisane.
