Hey, there, Cestus! I've got quite a few updates for you, so let's get to them.

Rite of Supremacy VI

If you guys read the news on the main webpage, you probably already know that DGM Paladin put up a teaser for the next Rite of Supremacy event. It will start in January, 2010 (Granted that we don't have GJW9 syndrome and end up postponing it by two months due to SQL injector attacks), and apparently there's an enormous, "life-changing" prize involved.

I know that we as a clan are not fond of any sort of storyline that involves clan feuding, but in all honesty, I want to win this RoS. Tarentum has been through a few rough spots in terms of wars and competitions - placing last in the most recent GJW is our latest example of that. I know that recently, we have had some excellent newcomers and prospering Journeymen in Cestus, and I think they will help a great deal in boosting Tarentum's skill and participation. If we can polish up on both of those, especially the latter, we can have a chance of doing well. I want that for the house and for the clan.

Clan Competition, Part Two

As we heard from Anshar, part two of "Broken: The Renegade Thief" is up for participation. Apparently there was low participation, especially for the fiction entry. I want to see you Cestians participate; your submissions may even influence the Consul's storyline.

The second fiction competition is due on August 16th. Gaming and decoding events continue as usual. If you need the decoding challenge, again, I can e-mail it to you if you lost Anshar's e-mail. Want a Merit Medal?

As I said in a separate e-mail, I'm looking for someone who can expand the Cestus Complex wiki page for me. Recently, Tier-Avis and Welshman submitted some excellent writing pieces describing the VSD Corsair in detail. While I already picked the winner, I want both of their work to be represented on the wiki page. Anyone who volunteers to compose a wiki page that contains information from both submissions will earn some level of merit medal.

The only volunteer so far as been Tier-Avis, and as much as I truly appreciate his offer, I do want to see if someone whose writing is not involved can do it. If no one volunteers in another week, I will give the job to him, but for now, I want to see if anyone else is interested. Once I choose the volunteer, I will send further instructions.

House Competitions

There are no house competitions at the moment, what with the attention mostly being centered around the clan competition. Any ideas for Cestus competitions may be given freely.
