Today is October 6th, which is a milestone for me. Today is my 2nd year as Herald, which is the longest position I’ve held. It is an accomplishment I am very proud to say I have survived to see. In that time, I have seen the creation of 21 robes, 132 lightsabers, 281 warbanners, and 130 miscellaneous items used in our Warbanner Emblem Selector.

In my 2 years, I’ve had 3 different Staffs; I’ve been able to see amazing, graphical talent in the Brotherhood and been able to take part in some of the more exciting things to come to the Brotherhood. As part of a tradition started by Muz, I have created an anniversary set for members who reach the rank of Equite 3. The original set has been labeled “Tooth and Nail”, after the “Wolf’s Fang” and “Lion’s Claw” lightsabers created by myself and our Grand Master, respectively.

Along with this set, there has been a “Broken” set of the Tooth and Nail. This set introduces an orange lightsaber to the public that follows in line with the color spectrum. This set is also available at Equite 3 and both sets come with the same Order trims they currently have. Finally, I have released a saber for Dark Jedi Knights and higher called “Savage”. Below are examples of each saber:

One project that I am extremely proud to make mention of. Recently, I have been assisting Muz with a Face Selector to help provide basic avatars for people uncertain of what they want their characters to look like. Currently, I have prepared 72 images for this selector with many more to come. This is my first time creating images of characters in mass and Muz has taught me much for this project. I am really thankful to work on this alongside him.

Something I want to make a quick mention on is the promotion of one of my Magistrates; Jeric Cyrin. Jeric has served under me before and has been a strong force behind the Herald’s Staff. For his work as Magistrate to the Herald and his actions for his former clan, Arcona, he has been promoted to the rank of Sith Warrior. Please join me in congratulating him.

Also, I have heard many people talking about what it means to be a good leader. From my own experiences, I have always seen a good leader as someone who can admit when they have made a mistake and be willing to make up for it. A good leader is someone who is willing to hear the words of the people they’re in charge of and do what it takes to improve the status of the general public.

A good leader isn’t going to please everyone but they are someone many respect. This is someone who is willing to lead by example and can lead from the front, doing the same thing as other members and still willing to encourage them. No one steps up and instantly becomes a leader. It takes mistakes and lessons learned from those mistakes to help develop each of us into leaders. While this is strictly my opinion, this is the path I choose to follow.
