Grand Master Report

"Sashar?" The Proconsul tapped his fingers on the desk, looking at the Erinos with a quizzical gleam in his eye. Sashar blinked, re-reading the transmission from Antei again.

"Braecen, we need to get to the dock, and now." He rose from his seat quickly, the chair grunting as it was shoved back by the backs of the man's knees. "We're expecting the Spear."

<p>

"Spears?" Braecen stood with him, following the Arconan Consul as he made his way down the hallway. "I thought the old Gen'Dai was retired?"

<p>

"Not Spears." Sashar continued, increasing his speed and pulling a commlink from his belt. "The Fallen Spear. The Grand Master."

<p>

Braecen grumbled to himself, keeping pace with him as he followed. Sashar nodded, the unsaid acknowledgment of the man's history with the Dark Lord. Flipping open the comm, he keyed the coded frequency that would send his message to all of the Arconae and many of the Shadesworn, letting them know to meet them in the docking bay.

<p>

Turning down the corridor, he listened to their bootfalls echo off the durocrete walls. The chirp of his commlink demanded his attention, and he clicked it into the power-on position, the holographic Anzati hovering above his arm as he moved. "Sashar, Boral Control just cleared the Spear. I took the liberty of getting an appropriate reception ready for them."

<p>

Sashar narrowed his eyes. "Define 'Appropriate', Legorii."

<p>

"Well, I figure that he's not here to kill any of us, otherwise he'd just glass us from orbit." Legorii snorted. "So, since there's not much notice, he's probably here to give us something."

<p>

"Or to fire us." Braecen spat, and Sashar raised an eyebrow at him before he turned the commlink off. Stopping in front of a door, he tapped the console, watching the heavy blast doors slide apart, revealing the rows of guards that flanked the carpet from the door. Legorii nodded at them as they cleared the door, stepping to his side as they moved from the doorway.

<p>

Sashar lowered his voice as he watched out of the airlock as the Kyataran's ship approached. "Where is Etah?"

<p>

Legorii shrugged his shoulders. "It was short notice, after all."

<p>

The ship set down quietly, the hydraulic landing gears venting gas as it landed, a ramp rolling down the front of the forward-facing bay of the ship as the airlock slid down, revealing a row of dark-armored guardsmen. They moved quickly and quietly down the ramp, lining up along the carpet as the Dark Lord stomped down after them. Two more guardsmen followed him, carrying ebony chests with engraved metal furniture.

<p>

Muz motioned for them to place the chests in front of him, wrapping a tendil of the Force around the locks to open them, revealing the ancient metal artifacts within as the Guards joined their brethren. "Consul Sashar Kodiak Erinos."

<p>

Sashar stepped forward, bowing his head slightly.

<p>

"To the victor, goes the spoils." Muz motioned to the artifacts, lifting them from their cases with his mind, letting them spin slowly in the air. "As such, Arcona is granted first choice of the spoils."

<p>

Sashar watched the holocrons swirl in the air between the Dark Lord and himself. He had heard that they had found a cache of holocrons hidden in Crask's personal effects, but it was just a rumor until now. The Force leaked from the artifacts as they orbited each other, Sashar enhancing his eyes with a thread of Force before reaching out to claim Arcona's Prize.

<p>

<p>

"Is that all you have for me, Pavan?" His greasy hair moved slightly in the breeze. They didn't get much wind up this high, despite the high premium that his contact paid for a balcony office. The hundreds of skyscrapers served as a buffer against the wind. He stared at the information broker, waiting for the man to get over himself.

<p>

"They didn't tell me any more than that, mister Loira." He straightened his suit, giving the older man a look as dirty as his clothes.

<p>

"Well, how do I know that it's not some sort of trap?"

<p>

"Hey, I'm just here because I was paid to arrange the meeting." Pavan stepped back another step from the man. He had asked to meet him on the balcony in case his appointment smelled as bad as he looked. Of course the bum would have to be paranoid, too. "If you want to meet him or not, I still get paid."

<p>

He raised his hand, chewing on filthy fingernails and watching Pavan squirm. "Where did he want to meet?"

<p>

<p>

He looked up at him with burgundy eyes, knowing well not to let his posture speak fear. Dark eyes regarded him as he rose from the bow required by tradition. The green eyed Arconan did the same to his left, her scent wafting across to him. He smelled the essence of Corellian Black Lillies, Rojos and something else that he could almost identify. He shuffled the thought to the back of his mind, waiting for the Dark Lord to finish speaking.

<p>

"I need them alive." Muz turned from them, pacing slowly in front of the throne. "You will not fail."

<p>

Xathia shot Arion a quick glance, her own Krath mind trying to dissect the wisdom in sending Dark Jedi from different clans on this perversion of the Great Hunt. Arion nodded slowly at her as if to say that he understood.

<p>

Muz stopped in front of them, staring at them with his nightmare eyes. "May the Force serve you well."

<p>

The pair bowed quickly, stepping backwards down the dark carpet before they turned to leave. Muz watched them leave before turning on his heel to pace again. The doors opened, two leaving and one entering. Muz shot the throne an angry glance before turning his head toward the new interloper continuing his path on the cold stone of the Dark Hall. The interloper moved with confidence, his gait marking him as an Obelisk as much as the blue trim of his robes.

<p>

He moved quietly toward the Grand Maser, stopping a few paces away and dropping to one knee, his warm green eyes locked on him. "What is thy bidding, my master?"

<p>

Muz stopped in his step, a cruel smile erupting from the corners of his mouth.

Report Time!

<p>

<p>

So, the biggest news lately has been CLAN FORCE POWERS.<p>

Basically, the long and the short of it is that when we made the character sheets, we didn't include the old clan force powers for a variety of reasons. Several of the clans had powers that were already covered under the basic force powers, and others had powers that were really not very star wars, and didn't jive with the Brotherhood's efforts to get as canon as possible. As a result, we had no clan powers on the character sheets whatsoever. And then someone decided to remind me how much impact the clan powers had as far as helping distinguish the clans from each other. I agreed, and went through the Canon Powers that we didn't already take advantage of with the core powers, and made a pile of powers for the consuls to pick through.

<p>

The clans were able to pick in order of their clan's placement during the previous Great Jedi War. As a result, here's what was picked:<p>

ARC: Force Wraiths and Blood Trail<p>

TAL: Phase and Cryokinesis<p>

CSP: Combustion and Plant Surge<p>

PLA: Spear of Midnight Black and Convection<p>

CNS: Force Blast and Heart Stun<p>

TAR: Smoke Demon and Rakghoul Creation<p>

These powers have full descriptions that will be up on the wiki as soon as possible.

<p>

<p>

You'll notice that the consul's have been posting their reports on the main page now, which is a bit of difference from how we used to do it in the past. Aside from making the News page more active (and fuller of information), it also helps everyone understand what the clans are doing and what they are like, personality wise. It's been pretty useful, so far, so I don't think we'll be changing that. <p>

But yeah, it's only consuls that are doing this. We don't need to bog down the page with Quaestors or PCONs or anything.<p>

Orv and Arion found a glitch with the joining members not being able to activate their dossiers and get transferred to clans. It's been fixed now, but please make sure that you guys check your rosters and make sure that no one was manually transferred into your unit. When manual transfers happen, no email is automatically generated, so those members can easily fall through the cracks. So please take a look and send any welcome emails that you may need to. Thanks. The guys also cleared up the issue we had with Independant House Revan not showing up properly on transfer requests and competition listings. That's because they rock.

<p>

<p>

Mirei tried to join the club again.<p>

Mirei is a member from our past, a troublemaker that refused to adhere to our rules here in the Brotherhood. After violating it's probation a number of times, Mirei was expelled from the brotherhood, which is actually a pretty rare occurrence, all things considered. Anyway, Mirei is obsessed enough with the Brotherhood (and the Emperor's Hammer, and the rebel Squadrons, and the...well, you get the point) that it will often find ways of obscuring it's IP address and rejoining under a new name. <p>

Well, with a different IP and a different name, it's hard to prove that it's really them, right? Wrong. Mirei has a very distinct manner, a specific modus operandi, and always seems to cause the same sort of drama whenever they come back. It's only just a matter of time before they resort to their old tricks, and prove themselves to be Mirei, and end up banned (again). <p>

When Sanson joined the club, they came to the brotherhood with the Emperor's Hammer having just banned them as being Mirei. The gentlemen in the Hammer were kind enough to warn me that it was (in their opinion) Mirei, and I took that under advisement. In the Brotherhood, our members are given specific rights due to the Dark Covenant, and we can't ban people because the EH dudes told us to. That's just not how we roll. So, with the knowledge that this member was suspect, we just knew that we had to watch for the behavior that Mirei always resorted to.<p>

It only took a week for Sanson to resort to all the same activities and behaviors that Mirei is known for. Old habits die hard.<p>

Anyway, Mirei/Sanson was banned from IRC and had their dossier deleted in enforcement of the old ban. You can check out the notes for that case on the Wiki.

Muz is out of Booze!<p>

There's a new comp that Korras is running with me. Check out the details here.

<p>

<p>

Ask the GM!<p>

Shardara asks: Hey Muz, I was just looking at the robe construction tool on the DB site and I noticed that out of the seven options for the journeymen robes that I have access to only one of them is geared more towards a female. I know that as I get promoted the choices of robes include more female designs but I think it would be cool if there was a more even choice between male and female robes from the beginning, and overall with all the robes that are available.<p>

Well, the simplest answer is to tell you to work harder and earn the other robes that are in there for higher ranks. But since I am sure you have already heard that from a dozen people already, I'll skip that part. ;)<p>

The robes selector is one of those things around here that we constantly add to and improve. At initial launch, there weren't terribly many lady-specific robes, and that was for several reasons. (there weren't any lady robes prior to that release, many female members preferred the masculine robes anyway, etc) Of course, at initial launch, we had like a third or so of what we have now. Journeymen had two choices, regardless of rank. But still, it blew the doors off of the old stuff. But a huge part of that project being done is how we structured it. We made it so that we could expand it, add more stuff to it, etc.<p>

Since it is one of those things that we sporadically and randomly update, and there are ladies who have been asking for more stuff that is catered to them, we will take that into account as we expand the selector. Heck, earlier this year, we added three additional female robes just to bring it up some for the ladies. But we don't let people know when we are expanding it. It's like a nice little present from the Herald and I when we do. ;)<p>

If you would like to see what is in the current robes selector regardless of rank, order, clan, or society (yes, what order you choose, what clan you choose, and membership in specific societies in the brotherhood unlocks more robes), you can click here.<p>

Thanks Shardara, and enjoy your Dark Cross.

<p>

<p>

TL:DR<p>

*Fictional stuff<p>

*Clan Powers Selected, will be on CSs soon<p>

*Orv and Arion rock<p>

*Mirei caught and ultramegabanned<p>

*Muz needs Booze, runs comp<p>

*Post questions for the GM on the forums, win medals.<p>

<p>

And that's all for this time. If you have any questions, or anything I can help with, pm me on IRC or shoot me an email. Have fun!

So Independent House Revan gets left out, because we're not a clan yet, right? We have to earn the right to Specific FPs?

Seems as though the selection for Clan Powers went according to the placement for the last GJW. If that's the case, Revan wasn't there for the last War, and I'd imagine Muz has something in mind for Revan, as well as other Houses that will come up in the future. I'd be curious to see what else they come up with, though, pertaining to staying as canon as possible. There are a lot of options in Star Wars, though, so I'm sure you guys haven't been given a short straw, or anything of the sort.

mmmm...... New powers feel soo nice :P

These are Clan Force Powers, meaning that they are for clans. Houses do not get powers specific to their unit. However, as I intend on releasing more clan powers over time, if an independent house achieves clan status, they will be able to take advantage of that and select their own, new clan powers.

Can't find the Mirei case, has it not been uploaded?

http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=002_DB_vs._Mirei

Kinda wish there were more details on it though.

Yeah I saw that. Sorry, I was under the impression there was a new case or summary of the activities that caused this most recent event.

Yeah, no worries on powers. It's a Clan privilege and rightfully so. When and if we earn status as a clan, we'll have more options available to us in the same way the promotion system allows members more choices at higher ranks. Clan powers should be something to work towards and look forward to.

Meh Im not too worried about Clan Powers with being in Revan. We get our own set of special-ness just for being us. :P

Special ed maybe. :P

Special ed on how to be inactive? :P

The word of the day is:

Vulva.
