Original Trilogy DVD?

I have read this was a rumor, but then I also read most of the following on credible sources...

Announced earlier this week, Lucasfilm will be releasing the original trilogy (Episodes 4-6) on DVD this September. This 4-dsic set will include the Special Editions of all three films. The fourth disc will feature a full behind the scenes documentary on the creation, filming, and marketing frenzy that the first three films are famous for.

This set is probably going to only be Region 1 (USA & Canada), though I wouldn't be surprised if Lucasfilm does a massive release. I have not heard anything about releases for Europe & Asia.

I read in a local paper (Seattle Times) this same info, they gave the date of September 21st as the release date

I just wish other rumors about it had been true...like adding in a scene where Palpatine dissolves the Senate...

They have all the actors stored on hard drives anyway...why not add in some more cool stuff?

From the fact that they announced it on the official star wars website, I'm guessing it's not a rumor. =)

Starwars.com also sent an email to all its subscribers with an official notification of this. It's a handy way to get SW info very fast. :)

I've read that it will also be released for Europe, but not in September, a bit later
