Adamu simply remained standing, his arms outstretched as if to catch the snowflakes falling on his fingertips. His bright blue eyes were damp, brimming, as he raised them to the opened skies, opened like a dark jaw. The sun had finally started to dip into the mountains, the hours of the day dwindling at last. Dark was coming. It was appropriate.

"You..." he was able to utter, casting simple glances at each Dark Jedi, never focusing on one too intently. Ronovi, however, kept her eyes locked on the spectacle. "You have done well...Tarenti."

Ronovi and the others raised their hands, and in an uncomfortable unison, they used the Force to deactivate their lightsabers. The colors receded, the blades hissing in synchronization, as each carved hilt seemed suspended in the air before they all dropped with a resounding clatter onto the stone below, a shower of silver and brass and steel cascading from the cauterized flesh.

Then, to all of the clan's shock, Adamu closed his eyes and smiled. His fall took two steps. His legs folded beneath him, flattening against the cavern floor, before he landed facedown onto the rock, arms still out from his sides, lying spread-eagled as his jaw cracked from the fall. Hair fluttered, eyes fluttered, snow fell atop him and covered him in white. Then...silence.

He let go, Ronovi thought to herself. He didn't stick around this time. He just let go.

The Dark Jedi stood silently for only a moment before each one retrieved their lightsabers, either audaciously stepping over to Adamu's body to fetch them or snatching them up using Force pulls. Ronovi used the Force pull, then moved to Aidyn's dismembered body after she tucked her lightsaber away. She lifted the broken torso, saw the stony look on Aidyn's graying face and bit her lip to keep from shouting. She raised her head to look at the others. Ji had his head lowered. The Nightwraiths saluted as if commemorating their fallen, as well as their killed. Aidyn and Adamu had both put up a good fight.

And then, someone cleared her throat. The Tarenti all turned in unison, the snap of blasters being cocked resounding on the still standing cavern walls as the others seized the hilts of their lightsabers once more. Behind them stood a tall, slender woman, a white gown brushing her slim ankles, as her hair bunched up around her neck and her pale white fingers dancing about the slim razor-like blades at her side. Those in the group who were necromancers recognized this messenger, her albino skin brighter than the snow above, as she parted her lips in a small smile.

"Well done, Clan Tarentum," Lady Nilani said. "Very, very well done."
