Quaestor Report

Hello Gladians!

The first week of the Rite of Supremacy has come to an end. Unfortunately we don't yet know if we survived to the second round because the fiction and ACC events are still being graded.

Here's the good news: we won the poetry event! That means that if we win either fiction or ACC, we will move on to the next round against either Plagueis or Naga Sadow. We should hear the rest of the results within the next couple of days. Here is a link to the RoS website for your convenience. Be sure to click on the Tarentum logo to see the details of our matchup with House Revan!

This week is a "rest" week, although that doesn't mean it's time to slack off! There are several events for you to take part in and even opportunities to earn Novae. Here is a brief summary to get you started:

Gaming: 24/7 gaming is open in #dbgaming until Friday night. You can earn Clusters of Fire, with novae for the highest scorers. Seals will also be awarded to anyone who earns 5 or more CoFs.

Fiction: Write a short fiction about how your character (and friends) have strayed too far from the secured territories on Salas V and come face to face with an angry swarm of Killiks. Seals awarded for participation, and novae to the top submissions.

Graphics: Draw a single page comic that shows the clan on clan violence last week as they vow to eliminate each other from the competition. Seals will be awarded, and novae to the top submissions.

Submit fiction and graphics to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] with "Off-week Graphic" or "Off-week Fiction" in the subject, your dossier number and ID line in the body.

If those events aren't your cup of tea, there are also a few House competitions available. Here's a link so you can check them out:

Master/Student Program

The single best way to get focused and turbo charge your advancement as a Journeyman in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood is to get involved with the Master/Student Program. The MSP pairs a student (between Apprentice and Jedi Hunter) with a Master (Dark Jedi Knight or higher). Your Master will work individually with you to guide you on your path to Dark Jedi Knight. They will be available to answer your questions, review your writing, or anything else you may need.

With all our new DJKs in the past few weeks, we have lots of great people waiting to help you out. If you are interested in finding a Master to work with, please reply to this email and ask!

Now, for the regular reminders:

Competition Participation: When you participate in something, don't forget to let me know so you get credit for it! You may either CC me when you submit your entry, or just send me a quick note saying you participated. If it's a Clan competition that I might be participating in too, I'd appreciate if you did not include me on your actual submission... that way I can still participate!

Competition Ideas: Got an idea for a competition? Anybody can run one, and anybody can suggest ideas. Just run it past me and we'll make it happen.

Apprentices: All you have to do for your promotion to Novice is... anything. Get on the IRC channel, participate in a competition, register for the forums, or just about anything else. If you have questions or if you have already done one of these things and you think nobody noticed, send me a quick email and let me know. In particular, I don't get automatically notified if you complete your character history, register on the forums or if you go on IRC while I'm not around.

Everyone Else: The promotion requirements are listed on the Wiki (the URL is below). If you want a copy of your current activity record, or if you aren't sure which requirements you have completed and which you have not, all you need to do is ask. Severon, Raiju and I all have access to the records and we will all be happy to help you figure out your path to your next promotion.
