Greetings Brothers and Sisters of Exar Kun,

As you all are well aware, the Rite of Supremecy is in full swing and has been for the past few weeks. The first week, we were eliminated by Clan Naga Sadow, kudos to them. We have been bumped to the losers bracket because of it and are currently doing quite well. Personally I think we will be moving to the next round. If and when we do, I want to see everyone bringing their A-game. Your leaders have been holding their own, working hard to achieve victory through greatness. It is what we expect from all of our members. If we lead by example, then maybe we can rattle that competitive, active spirit in all of you.

The off-week has started. While the events are merely personal and wont help the Clan advance, these events can help you advance. Just by participating, many of you will have accomplished one of the requirements needed for promotion (Participate in a Competition). You will earn a seal for your efforts and if you place in one of the events you can win a Novae - Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Any of these will look great on any recommendation. The events are listed below -

Poetry Event: In this off-week's Poetry event, you are to write the most powerful and emotion-inspiring haiku as possible. Haiku is defined here. Obviously, you will want to write your submission in English and have it sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by 2359 EST on Friday, January 29th, 2010.

Out-of-Universe Fiction: This week's off-week fiction competition is allowed to be out of this world. Actually, out of this universe, to be precise. Write a two-page fiction set in some other sci-fi universe, be it Firefly, Farscape, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Riddick, anything you want, provided it is set in some Sci-fi universe or other. Again, submissions have to be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by 2359 EST on Friday, January 29th, 2010.

Team Gaming! for this week, all gaming MUST be Team Gaming, which is to say one side must have at least two people playing. Clans are unimportant and members should report their matches under the 'gaming night' section. Team Gaming ends at 2359 EST January 29th, 2010.

GET IT DONE!!!! Bring the pwn!!!! even if it is an off-week. These events can help prepare you for the next round. If anyone participates in one of these events or has participated in a past event. I want you guys to email me, Octavia, and Koga, telling us what you have done. Dont forget to attach your submission. We will be handing out medals and promotions after the RoS. If you guys want to earn a shiney or move up in rank I suggest busting your hump like your Leaders have been.

:House News:

As I stated at the beginning of the RoS, not much will be happening on a House level until the RoS is over as I want our main focus to be participation in the Vendetta. However, I will give you some details on what will be happening after the RoS and some of what is going on now.

Currently Koga and I are accepting applications for the Kun Academy. Those who are APP-ACO will be accepted in to the team if a desire to truly excell is seen in the applicant. Once the team is established, Koga and I will be creating various tests and activities for the members to participate in. These will be like mini-classes which will help you gain a better understanding of who we are and what we do in the Clan. And it will help to give you a better understanding of how the Brotherhood works as a whole. This club can be quite intimidating and even overwhelming to someone who is un-willing to put the time and effort in to learning. If you want to be active and want to become an outstanding member. Send Koga and I an email telling us a bit about yourself and what you would like to learn personally. The subject of the email should read “Kun Academy Registration” and your FULL ID line should be added.

Purging the recruits - After the RoS we will be running an AWOL check for those below the rank of DJK. Basically we want to clean up our roster and get rid of some dead weight. This will enable us to focus on those who actually want to be here and want to participate in the Brotherhood and Clan.

Wiki updates - After the RoS we will be updating the Exar Kun wiki page. We’ll most likely be adding some new material and cleaning up what currently exists.

Exar Kun History and Base - After the RoS I plan on running a competition to re-take our home planet. We will establish a base of operations and start from the ground up. Numerous joint competitions will be run until we actually get everything running smoothly. For example - We take the planet which will start a timeline. Competitions will include things like - What does the planet currently look like? (graphics), You will be sent on an expedition to discover resources etc...(fiction). You’re discovered by the locals and need to fight them back etc...(gaming). Please note that these are just rough examples. But these are the kinds of things we will be seeing until we’ve finished the timeline and established our place.

As you’ve noticed I havent added medals, SA exams, or new recruits in this report like many other leaders. The Rollmasters job is to keep track of activity and newer recruits so you can look forward to that information when he gets a report out.

There will be some changes coming to Plagueis and Exar Kun after the RoS. We should be looking forward to these changes and should be honing our skills daily. Remember to have fun, work hard, and remain loyal.
