JST Year End Report

Welcome to my three-year anniversary report! As of this report, I have been Justicar longer than any any other position I've held in the Brotherhood (previous record was 2.5 years as Consul). I also recently passed the decade mark for DB membership - something I'm not sure I ever imagined would happen. Before I move into my fourth year in my post, I wanted to take a moment to sum up my previous year at the head of the Chamber of Justice.

Shadow Academy Hints I've been grading the CoJ1 exam for several years now, and there are several common mistakes made which I want to alert everyone to. That way if you take it in the future, you can pay careful attention to these questions.

1) What is an Order of Advanced Incarceration, and who can put one into effect?

2) Who has the authority to punish members for infractions in the Shadow Academy?

And finally - the hypothetical situation questions at the end of the exam ask for detailed answers which cite specific cases and examples. Be sure to follow the directions carefully then answering these questions, because people tend to lose quite a few points here.

Quick Reminders First - if you share a computer with anyone (family member, friend, coworker, etc) and you haven't already registered with me, please do so. Also if you recruit someone at some point in the future and you share a computer, you need to let me know -that way you can avoid being prosecuted for cloning.

Second - if you have created any material used by the Dark Brotherhood as a whole, please read over and consider signing the DB Copyright Release.

Third - LHoJ applications have all been received and reviewed. I have a few final candidates in mind and I am in discussions with several other Brotherhood leaders to make my final decision. I will put up a news post with the annoucement either today or tomorrow.

Conclusion When I posted my year-end report last year, I set out 4 goals for the upcoming year, these were:

-Maintain or improve current intervention levels -Increase general knowledge of the Chamber -Train future Chamber members (potential Justicars!) -Assist GM with non-CoJ projects

I feel that I made solid strides in the last year towards all of these goals. While our trial and complaint counts were down (a good thing!), the Chamber maintained a responsible presence in all areas of the Brotherhood. I introduced an Advanced CoJ course in the Shadow Academy to increase Chamber knowledge among all members. In the last year, we've had four new Hands of Justice and six new Appeals Panel members who have all received hands-on experience with the Chamber. Finally, besides running the GJW, I have continued to assist the Grand Master on non-CoJ projects.

As I move into my fourth year as Justicar, I am excited for the Brotherhood. The upcoming release of SWTOR should lead to a significant influx of new members if handled properly, and efforts are already afoot in that arena.

I wanted to post new yearly goals in this report, so I went back and examined my original Justicar application from 3 years ago. After re-reading it, I feel that I have successfully achieved and exceeded each of my original goals. Therefore, instead of giving specific yearly tasks to accomplish, I am going to guarantee you all my continuing efforts to further the Brotherhood on all fronts, Judicial and otherwise.

Thank you... I have to end by thanking every member of the Brotherhood who has served the Chamber of Justice in my third year. I could not successfully run this Chamber without the assistance of these volunteers who go above and beyond to help the club in an area that is often not popular. Specifically, my thanks are extended to Chaosrain, Taigikori, Alexander Anderson, Arion, Bob, Tron, Aabsdu, Alaris, and Shadow. I truely apprecite the efforts all of you have made, and I look forward to working with even more members in the upcoming year!

Signed and Sealed in Justice, Dark Prophet Kir Katarn Justicar and High Protector of the Dark Brotherhood

w00t, nice work Kir!

I agree ^_^

Kir has been an amazing Justicar and I'm sure he will serve and honor the Brotherhood just as much in the future :)

Also, let us not forget that Kir is gay.

=)

Gratz on 3 and 10!

Thank you for your work in the Brotherhood Kir. Upholding the law and justice certainly isn't fun to deal out, and in your case you do a lot of it, so thank you. Also, thanks to all who have served on the Chamber of Justice, it really does help when there is more than one person accountable on things.

So Kir, hows about one more whole year!?

I love being thanked. What did I do again?

BIAS!

Wait, what?

I'm pretty sure Chaos is mentioned coz of his fail factor.
