It is here today, that I step down from my position as Combat Master. Some members and leaders have had trouble dealing with my ways, which I understand. Either way, Ive tried my best, and tried to be around. Its quite unfortunate and it pains me much to step down, but Im doing so for the best.
According to some people the ACC is falling apart so to speak, as judges berate members, while I tried defending my judges. Either way, it is not of my concern anymore, and wash my hands of this trouble. I wasnt a good leader for this, at least not anymore.
Real life has taken much of my time. I have broken my arm, and I also have to spend 3 more hours in school for training, as I am to go to the state Olympics in graphic design, here. These are not excuses and surely I could have been more present, and obviously less harsh with everyone. Im sorry for my behaviour and apologize to my staff.
Note that I do not use any of this as an excuse. I take full responsibility for my behavior in that past months, to members, and to my leaders. Perhaps in time theyll forgive me. Apologies to them. I tried, truly did.
I do not have the power to appoint a new Combat Master, and will leave this in the wise hands of Firefox and Jac, who will know to make the right choices. Best of luck to him, and will always be present should he need any advice.
For now I will be going rogues to take time to heal. Ill be around the chat channels, but I will not join a clan, and risk being dead weight.
Its sad, and Id like to thank Arcturus for his excellent job as my Praetor throughout my reign.

Since your return to the Brotherhood you have had a major impact on everything you have done. You worked dilligently within Qel-Droma and the structure and thoroughness that your overhaul has brought to the ACC is a great achievement. Your skills have been displayed and the effects felt by every memebr who has or will use your renovated facility.
You are a huge asset to the Brotherhood and I look forwrad to any future projects you are involved in. I have no doubts they will be a roaring success.

The fault isn't your own, Cyris. No man holds total blame. I'd ask you to reconsider, especially since we've both had an effect on each others' careers, and I truly believe this is the wrong step for you at this time. I'll try getting a hold of you, but I'd like to talk about this at some point, my friend.
I don't think anything has sucked this bad since -- well, nothing has sucked this bad. I guess being pulled in a few different directions can get a bit frustrating, but if it is in your mind to reconsider, please do so. I'm with Sith on this (strange as that may be) -- no one man can hold the blame. You were instrumental in the ACC's progress to this point, and despite the whimpering of a few individuals, it is not falling apart. It may be a little ricketty from time to time, but you have always done your best -- we couldn't ask for more. It's a bummer (yea, I wrote 'bummer') to see you go.
I'm sorry to see you leave, Cyris and I wish you a speedy recovery and an eventual return to the Brotherhood.
I'm totally with Dalthid and Bloodfyre with this. Cyris, your performance within the DB and ACC has been splendid, and your Overhaul contained the items needed to improve the ACC. To see you go is a real pity Cy... Please reconsider.

Cyris, ignore what 'some people' say. As far as I'm concerned the ACC has become an integral part of my activity for the Dark Brotherhood since the Overhaul.
Personally I really think you should reconsider this, but...good luck with whatever you choose to do now and I hope things go better for you in RL.
The ACC isn't "falling apart" but has conmflicts due to some insensitive people. You aren't one of those. I really don't like to think what will happen when you aren't there anymore ;(

I for one am sad to see you go as well Cy. We never had much personal contact in the DB, but your running of the ACC has had an affect on my performance in the DB as well. I truely believe you were doing an bang up job around there, and if it means anything, I'd also like to put the bug in your ear to reconsider staying on as the CM.
It's very sad indeed to see you go, Cyris. You were an excellent Combat Master, and a good friend. I hope to see you back soon.

Cy, reconsider. I mean it. Like others have said, you were integral to the amount of activity that some people have done. I for one would not have been as active if it were not for the ACC.
If you don't want CM fine at least join us back in Arcona because you brought out the best in people with the overhaul of the ACC.
It is your choice but I do say reconsider and best of luck on the olympics. Keep in touch.

Thank you all for the kind words. It means much to see you care and it sparks much joy to see some ask me to reconsider.
It took much energy for me to actually make this choice and to step down but I will not reconsider any longer. I may see to sticking around the DB, maybe even apply as Praetor or Magistrate to the following Combat Master, maybe Maybe I'll stand in the shadows and be that one whispering voice.
The fact is, I lost that flame firing me up. So many have complained about things I hadn't done, things I should've done, it tore me out. Perhaps once the the new Combat Master has been chosen, I will speak to him, perhaps to be a Senior Judge, or what not.
Rest assured, I will never let the ACC fall, if that means doing the CM's job not as CM, and getting in touch with Jac. The Eye of Darkness will be burning its gaze into the halls of the ACC.

You've been a wonderful asset to the ACC and an inspiration to me since I signed on to the db (and you first beat me in ACC). Your loss hurts us all both personnally and as a community.

I am new to the brotherhood (3 months) and I have not met you personally. But I would just like to thank you for all of the work you have done in the ACC. For me, the ACC is what made me want to stay active at first and it was fun. Thats what most people are here for and thats what you gave us. Fun. I am sorry to see such a great person step down and I hope the next Combat Master is just as good as you were. Dont listen to the idiots who criticized you. They couldnt do what you have done. Thanks again for your work.
