Combat Master Report

Lots of stuff to report this week, which is a nice change.

-As Muz has mentioned in his reports, we have a new Character Sheet in development. At the moment, we're long on ideas and short on details, so I don't want to release too much publicly at this point. However, we do have a couple of broad goals in developing the new CS, namely to fix what I feel are some long-standing mechanics problems in the ACC, and to give the CS a broader application in the DB as a whole. More info will be given as it develops.

-Voice of the Brotherhood and Fist of the Brotherhood are open for applications. Those of you who have read the new position descriptions, you'll notice that the duties of VOICE heavily involve the ACC. Ideally, this will mean that the ACC will be more integrated with Brotherhood writing activities as a whole, rather than being a fairly stand-alone venue as it is right now. Organizationally, who actually runs the ACC on a day-to-day basis has yet to be decided, but it's my hope that the outcome of that decision will be for the best. More on that as information is released on VOICE.

-I've had one e-mail and several report comments about the battles yet to be graded from the Rite of Supremacy. Yes, we are working on them. Yes, things are going slowly, due in large part to other obligations the judges have been dealing with both in the DB and in RL. They haven't been forgotten, and with the holiday weekend coming up I'm aiming to clear up as many of them as possible.

-The Journeymen Ladder is going strong, with a total of 18 participants. A few of the first-round matches have already been finished, and so far, I've been impressed by the turnout. I'll be keeping results posted in the Journeymen Ladder Hall as the competition moves forward. Best of luck to all the competitors!

-Due to popular demand after the Journeymen Ladder was released, the ACC will be putting out an Equites and Elders Ladder. The format will be the same as the Journeymen Ladder, single-elimination 2+2 battles with a 48-hour post limit. Also like the Journeymen Ladder, you do not need to be qualified in the ACC to sign up. Those of you who are interested can e-mail me with your name, rank, PIN and the weapons you will use for the competitions. Signups start now and will run until Saturday, April 10 at 11:59 PM EST. (Taig, you can stop bugging me now, plz. :P)

-Besides the two ladders, I'm strongly considering running an ACC Co-operative Competition. The idea is still in the works now, but it'll be released for signups soon.

-Last but certainly not least, the ACC Championship League. The timeframe for this is the beginning of June, for the sake of letting people get out of school and so on to focus on the competition. I'm currently in the process of deciding exactly how I want to run it.

That's all for this report. Thanks for reading.

All of the RoS battles are now graded, so that should stop the pestering I think :P

BUY ASS!

Oooh, battles got graded. Only took two months, so I guess Strat won our bet. :P

However: Equite ladder?! Co-op? That's the sort of news I like to hear!

...Now I need to find someone to co-op with.

You can co-op with me Timmeh, can you imagine the awesome we could come up with?! :O

Legz/Strat vs Tim/Sang? Yes please.
