Good morning everyone! :)
So a few small updates, decided to push this off a little so that I could include a few more things since it will be my final Aedile report given to you guys.
Many of you have asked me why I decided to step down, and with many more still wondering I have decided to go ahead and tell you all at once. Much to my surprise, I received notification letters from both my #1 (Full Sail University, Orlando FL) and #2 (Digipen University, Redmond WA) pick schools that I had been accepted at both. I knew I would make it into one, but did not expect to actually have my choice of either one to go to.
The downside however to that, is both of them have severely advanced and fast-paced curriculums (From an associates; I will have my masters in a little over 2 years.) and are very math intensive. (My worst subject...) So..starting this summer, even though it is my worst subject, I plan to hit it full-steam with Pre-Calculus and move into Calculus 1 in the fall, 2 in the spring, until 3 ultimately in the summer.
This would not have been so bad, had work also decided to intervene and say that my availability was not good for them. Due to that, I'm having to change departments and switch to night shifts. (School this summer already kills 4 of my days, and nights probably kills more. Meaning less DB time.)
Because the House is still in a critical stage of development, and Saitou needs someone who can be there quite often, I decided to step down. Only being around 3-4 days a week for a few hours or less I felt was not something I wanted to subject to the house, especially with Saitou being busy himself at times.
Do know however; this is not the end. I do plan to return to the Reinthaler summit eventually, and I am still remaining as a part of Reinthaler. It was a great run, and I am certain that the new Aedile will be able to pick up where I left off with Saitou and keep things going.
Raises a glass into the air This is for you, the members and leaders of House Reinthaler. May we show what we are truly capable of and become a force worthy of being named after Reinthaler. I thank you all, and I will see you on IRC and events. :)
Now on to the report itself!
Including today, just 4 days remain to get your application in for Aedile! The day is drawing closer and closer, and once it hits that's it. It is a great position to have, especially if you want to learn how to truly become a great leader and give back to the House what it has already given you. :)
