New competition: Through the looking glass

A master and an apprentice will together write a story about some event that was important for them both, and that both of them were involved in. Then, once it's done, the master and apprentice will write separated stories, each from his own perspective and point of view, about their own interpretation and emotions toward the event, what it changed or what it means for them.

So in summary:
A fiction written by both, master and his apprentice. (narrator in 3rd person)
Minimum: 3 pages.
Story from a Master (narrator in 1st person)
Minimum: 1 page.
Story from an Apprentice (narrator in 1st person)
Minimum: 1 page.

The pairs don't need to be 'official' master-apprentice pairings, but should be one higher ranked, and one lower ranked, jedi. The higher ranked jedi must be DJK or above. If any jedi under DJK rank wants to participate but can't find a 'master', e-mail your QUA (or me or Tiss) and they'll find someone for you.

Don't double space your font: whether TNR, Verdana, Arial or alike, 11-12 points, written in .doc file. Submit all three fictions together by sending them to Alanna ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and Tissaya ([Log in to view e-mail addresses])

Start Date: 3/11/2004 (or 11/3/04 for Europeans)
End Date: 4/23/2004 (that's 23/4/04 for the sensible people :P I mean, who puts the month before the day??)

Sounds awfully complicated. I like it, though :P

I'll try and find a way to simplify the explanation in my report. I normally have to otherwise I'd be writing an essay every week :P

Soo.. seeing I have several students, what am I to do? Can I enter more than once, in theory? :o) Not that I think I'd ever have the time for it.

Is it for Krath only or DB wide?

It's open to all.

And each person may enter only once. I appreciate that a master may have more than one student, but the pairings don't have to be 'official' masters and students. We'll help with finding extra masters if needed. Arania: I'll have a chat with you on irc about this if you're particularly unhappy with it.

Month comes before day cuz when you're talking you don't say its the 3rd of January, 2004. You would say its January 3rd which makes it month, day, year :P

thrusts

Wrong, over here we do say 3rd of January :p
