Aedile Report

Hey all, and welcome to my third report as Tal AED. I know that it has been well over a month since my last report, and you have my apologies for that. If you haven't heard already, I was given Wiki Tribune. I've been a very busy guy lately, but not to worry - I'm still around. Most of the time. This report will simply be covering some of the recent happenings, projects, and whatever else so I can start getting back into the swing of things.

Dominion

This is my first baby. And sadly, this first baby is still unfinished. Cities need to be created, planets finished... When I first accepted this project from Vodo back as Ektrosis Aedile, I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. Sadly, it's not. Because it is our home, our dominion should be one of those things that have been worked out to perfection. As it stands... it really isn't done. This is going to become my main focus as Aedile over the next month; hammering out our dominion and making it all spiffy.

Ground Forces

Our ground forces still need a bit of work as well. There are a couple bits and pieces of missing information; most importantly, our equipment. What are our soldiers wearing for protection? What equipment do they have on their belts? What weapons are they firing? All of these details need to be worked out reasonably. Anyone who presents me with a detailed list of equipment that I deem good enough to supply our troops with will be awarded handsomely for their work. As well, I was hoping to maybe reorganize them fromt the standard "We have this many regiments, with this many battalions, with this many etcetera etcetera etcertea" to something more appealing and easier to work with fictionally. This includes guard units, spec ops, a certain amount of troops stationed on ships, all that fun stuff.

In fact, anyone who helps me out at all on projects will be rewarded handsomely once the projects are completed. That's one of the perks of offering your help; you get a decent return for your efforts.

Intern Program

Yes, that's right... I consider this a project. If you've been keeping tabs on your email account, you'll have noticed an email from Sid about this topic. When you opened it up, you were treated to a huge wall of text that ALMOST made your eyes bleed as you fathomed how long it would take you to read through it all. If you did, congratulations, because it contained a lot of really good information. If you didn't get the memo; as Vladet and Tarax once did for House Dinaari, the Taldryan Summit has decided to fill the Rollmaster slot using an intern. This position will be filled using the standard application process... and the intern will be given several tasks to do by the Summit. In essence, we're allowing you to sample what it is like to be on the Summit and work on behind the scenes jobs to make Taldryan the place it has always been. You'll only be in the position for a month, but it is a great learning experience that if you don't take, you'll wish you had.

Feud

HA! You think that I'd spoil this for Sid?! No way. Stay tuned.

I know that you all have heard this before, but I believe it's important enough for me to recap. The first or second week of November, we had the Day of the Fox. For those of you who don't remember, it was the start of the reign of Lord Firefox, who led us through the Exodus and freed us from the Emperor's Hammer. On this day, we award those who have shown extreme dedication to the Brotherhood and it's Houses Seals of Loyalty. On this year's Day of the Fox, two very special Taldryan members received this coveted award: Rian Aslar, Battle Team Leader of Phoenix; Halcyon Taldrya, Voice of the Brotherhood and Son of Taldryan. These two members work their butts off for us every day, and awarding them Seals was only a small way of showing them our appreciation for all their hard work. Congratulations again, you two.

The fourth edition of the Bryar Bowl: Bryar Free or Bryar Hard is in it's finals. It's been a good run this far, and I can't wait to announce the winners. It was definitely a learning experience for me, on the dos and don'ts of running a ladder competition. I still don't think I have it down pat yet. Keep an eye out for upcoming competitions!
