Hey guys!

Lots of news this month, I just hope I can remember it all. A months' a really... really... really long time :)

House News

• Our Rollmaster Jendan currently has the flu. Let's all wish them a speedy recovery!

• Roster is now at 26 members including an Elder, 13 Equites and 12 Journeymen! Woot! There are a few people still interested in transferring so let's keep pestering them endlessly!

• Battleteam "Jeth's Legacy" has opened and already filled. I'm definitely looking forward to reading some of their Wiki fiction in the next few weeks.

• If there is enough interest in a second battleteam down the road let Windos and I know. We'll keep track of who is interested and in the next six months or so we can open up another.

• There is a House RO in the works, which will start on the 7. January. Mark your calendars and get ready for some post Holiday brawling.

• We're also thinking about hosting a pre-Vendetta feud with another House (probably Plagueis). Look for that sometime in mid Spring

Year in Haiku; Due 7. January

The year has come to a close. Using the Haiku format (just 3 simple lines), describe the year that was in the DB. It can either be in-character or out-of-character.

DB Starfighters; Due 31. December

Although the Dark Brotherhood utilizes common ships in the galaxy, it also has a handful of capital ships created specifically for their use. It is now time for you to design the next starfighters for the Dark Brotherhood. You are tasked with creating three types of starfighters; an Interceptor (think A-Wing), a bomber (think B-Wing) and a multi-purpose fighter (think X-Wing). There should be a common theme tying in all three together. Each fighter should have a detailed list of their specifications, similar to those that can be found on our wiki. The details of the craft should also include specifics on why they are effective in their missions. Please be "realistic" in terms of stats for these fighters, as they should be comparable to other fighters in the galaxy. While graphics are not required, they can be used and will add extra points to their submission

Flow-Walking; Due 31. December

Flow Walking is a rare and powerful Force technique first developed by the Aing-Tii monks of the Kathol Rift. It allows the user to interact with the Force by flowing along its currents; reading the possibilities of the future, and seeing the past as it once was. Given that the user is a Force-sensitive of ample power and skill, it is even possible to leave an imprint within the Force and alter the outcome of events. This power is very dangerous, as one would imagine, and can have irrevocable effects on the past, present and/or future. You, after decades of arduous training unlocking the mysteries of this rare art, have successfully mastered the technique of Flow Walking. So what will you now do with it? There have been many events in the history of our galaxy that have had far-reaching and devastating events on the rest of the Galaxy. It has been shown time and time again that even a single wielder of the Force can change the outcome of events that have effected entire nations, planets, systems-- entire galaxies. Bastila Shan's daring attack on Darth Revan's flagship during the Jedi Civil War; the defeat of Darth Vader at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar; the betrayal of Exar Kun by his apprentice Ulic Qel-Droma and many more. Each of these events shaped galactic history in many ways both seen and unseen.

You now have the power to change the very destiny of the galaxy...how will you use it? You are to take an important event in the Star Wars galaxy, like the examples above, and write a one-page description (minimum) of how you would use the Flow-Walking ability to alter this outcome. There should also be another page (minimum) describing how you think these changes would have changed galactic history

Load the Can(n)ons #4; Due 31. December

Each month you will be given a Canon Character and you are to write an actual battle between yourself and this character. Character of the Month: Perhaps the most famous "team" in Star Wars, this month you will be facing Han Solo and Chewbacca! Their characters will be from around the time of ESB, still in the prime of their lives. You will be judged on your writing and realism, similar to an ACC battle, but with the battle being written by only one combatant. As such, the use of your Character Sheet is important. This is an "out-of-continuity" story, so all that matters is that your character is interacting with these canon characters. Image Audit #2; Due 24. December

One person will be selected to audit each image category after making a comment on the news post stating that they'd like to participate. Their goal is to locate all of the duplicate images, and compile a list. This list is to be sent to Anubis, who will verify the duplicate entries. Some duplicates have been created purposely for this competition. Dark Side Scrolls will be awarded upon successfully finding all of the duplicate images.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas; Due 23. December

The Holiday season is upon us and is a joyous time within House Odan-Urr and for us Jedi. Christmas comes but once a year and is celebrated by the exchange of gifts, feasts, eggnog, and song. Holiday tunes abound this time of year, so your task is to rewrite the holiday tune "The Twelve Days of Christmas" Star Wars style. You may use any reference from SW canon and DB canon, with extra points going to humor and originality. So what would a Jedi be sent for the twelve days of Christmas. Best Friends Foreverest!; Due 31. December

With a partner in HOU write a 3-4 page piece of fiction about the relationship your characters have with one another. They could be friends, hated enemies, relatives. Please no lesbian pr0ns. How you work together is up to you. One could write while one gives ideas or you can take turns writing, as long as you work together. Keep in mind the history your characters may have. Many of them are converts from the DJB!

For the record I haven't received a single submission for either the Load the Can(n)ons #4 comp or the Best Friends Foreverest comp. These are easy crescents so go go go!!! :)
