Aedile Report

Report time! And this one is not going to be a happy one, I'm sad to say, as this will be my last report. I am resigning as Aedile of Revan at the end of the month.

I'd like to start by saying I'm sorry to all of you. I didn't do a very good job a Aedile. My creative juices are fighting me and I haven't run any comps or started any runons for you guys and I should have.
I have participated in a few comps, but I don't think I've ever mentioned them in past reports. Oh ya, and I haven't been good at putting out weekly reports either. I apologize for that as well.

Ok so, recently, Ekio and I emailed many of the Elders and Equites of our happy little family here in Revan to get their take on things. We had some real good feedback and I appreciate those of you that were able to respond and give us your two cents. It was most appreciated and most helpful. It seems to me that we have a lack of interaction.

We haven't melded our fictional characters to each other to form a unit. Now, I know the real story behind Revan is we are supposed to be spies and assassins, etc. Lurking in the shadows, blah blah blah. But even spies and assassins need a network to gather intel from and garner work (i.e. people to kill) to stay in business, right?

So maybe what we need to do is to work on some stories and plots, etc and get that interaction going.
Which brings me to my next point. Callus has an idea for a runon! Which I hope is able to take off. It is still in the very beginning stages of development, but I think this will be a great start to helping the younger members develop their characters and get that interaction that we are lacking going.

House histories are developed through the stories, the ficitions, the interaction with one another. I think we might have been putting the cart before the horse before when we were trying to get a history together. We need to work together, develop some alliances with each other, etc before we delve into the history stuff.

Ok, so, that's the good news; here's some more bad news though. Shin'ichi, Sanjuro and myself will also be leaving Revan around the end of this month. The reason is simple: we were asked to come home. For those of you that don't know, that would be House Naga Sadow.

When we came here we did so at Sarin and Raken's behest to help them get Revan off the ground. That's been done and we have a great group of people in this house. I have every confidence in Eiko to lead this house well.

The decision to leave is of no reflection on Revan whatsoever. When a very dear friend of mine said he wanted us home and then that sentiment was echoed by others, we decided to acquiesce and bring all the Keibatsu back under one roof.

Revan will always be considered an ally of ours and will always hold a place in my heart. Regardless of where I am at, I am always here for you, so if you have a question about how something works, or need someone to bounce an idea off of, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am on IRC and in most channels every night, including #revan and will remain so. You can also email me anytime. I look forward to watching Revan grow and flourish. Thank you for everything; I will miss you.

Thanks for your service Ash, and good luck.
