Jusadih System Morroth - Penal Colony Temple of Plagueis

Kal di Plagia Vorrac's face held an appraising look as he stood within the Northern Wing of the Temple. The round room before him had been for storage, and had been cleared out of anything and everything. While the Krath and Intel handled the catalogue and study of anything worthwhile, the Obelisk and Army had pooled their assets. Weapons racks lined the room, full of plasteel staves and other training gear. The floor held many pairs of Journeymen, each sparring with the next. All part of the plan, Kal thought, his face twisting into a grin as he saw a Protector smash through his opponent's guard. His plasteel stave caught the man on the chin, dropping him panting to the floor.

"Well?" Kal said, as the aggressor stopped.

"With respect, Quaestor, I've won." The man said, sweat coating muscles that hadn't been there weeks prior. "It's over."

"No," Kal said, striding forward. With a flick of his hand, he sent a telekinetic fist into the downed man's face. The crack of fragile bone was followed by the slump of unconsciousness. "Now it's over. Clean him up and proceed."

Vorrac strode toward his observation spot once more, noting the Master-at-Arms and Rollmaster Reith standing next to him. Newly minted to the position in the wake of the Battle of Si'Tilk, Tra'an had been of great help to Vorrac. He never budged in his strictness, never flinched at the harsh ways of Plagueis. From the time an Apprentice arrived in Jusadih and was made to walk through Morroth's snows to reach the Temple, the law was clear. Succeed, or perish. The Ascendant House could afford no weakness.

"My Quaestor," A young Guardian said as he came huffing into the room. "News from your agents in Cocytus. A new Emperor's been crowned; he's Palatinaean. Aedile Shai sent me."

"Good," Kal said, his smile growing. "Send me the information about this Emperor of Cocytus, I'd very much like to meet with him." Emperor. The title gave Kal a thrill; another House, wise enough to evade the Jedi yet strong enough to rule with a fist of iron. It seemed other Houses were following Plagueis' example and coming out of the shadows; a hint of a very exciting future.

"They'll need Masters soon." Tra'an said, looking to the Protectors. "We've put these Journeymen through Hell, those that remain are losing their fear of pain. They're beginning to crave power."

"As we desired, then." Vorrac said with a nod. "Let's see who's ready to start learning in earnest."

Victory, Brothers and Sisters! Si'Tilk is ours! All Power to Ascendant Plagueis, and the Jusadih Military Regime!

Yes, that's right. The Reboot Event we spent months developing, called the Taking of Si'Tilk, has come to an end. It's been a bumpy ride to be sure, and I thank each of you that helped me in this venture. I also thank each and every one of you that participated, you all did beautifully and I'm proud to call you my Housemates! Now, with new fortresses on Si'Tilk, the removal of a great threat from Jusadih, and a Summit ready to progress, it's time to move forward. Onward to the future, to new adventures, greater battles, intense training, and the lofty goals of Clanhood and Vendetta supremacy.

As per usual, I've got a tub of news for this report that resembles the Dark Crusaders' body count(For those of you reading this who want an image of that, read our Run-On). First and foremost, probably the most Brotherhood-shaking, is the passing of a titan. Darth Sarin, one of the Brotherhood's few Grand Masters and of that elite one of the greatest and most-influential, has had to step aside from the post of Deputy Grand Master. He has served both his country and the Brotherhood for quite some time, but now, his country needs him more. While Lord Sarin played a role of consistency and quiet stability during his tenure as DGM, his departure raises an inferno of new questions. Who will rise to be Darth Ashen's new Shadow Hand? Who will become the Second-in-Command of the Brotherhood? And, most of all, what changes and developments await the Brotherhood should a newcomer take the stage?

Next up, Fremoc Pepoi, Fist of the Brotherhood and influential member of the Dark Council and GMRG, continues to bring gaming innovation and new vitality into the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Most recently, he has announced three projects, those being named as Retro, Restart, and Icon. Retro is his work toward the incorporation of Brotherhood gamers into The Old Republic, and his efforts to make that a new source of activity and new blood. Restart is his undertaking of the considerable task of redesigning and reviving the Inter-Club Training Event, something that is sure to help the Brotherhood and Star Wars clubs in general flourish. Finally, Icon is the incorporation of Free-for-All and Matchmaking game types into the Rites of Combat, enabling players of Halo: Reach and other titles to get their gaming action in. For his efforts thus far, he was awarded the prestigious Emerald Dagger, and these recent endeavours show that it is very well deserved. For more on the Fist's projects, check out his latest report.

The Chamber of Justice, the body that enforces Brotherhood law and policy within and beyond the Dark Covenant, is looking for applications. After the three-month tenure of service, Vincent Brujah steps down to allow a new member to take his post. Now, Justicar Kir Katarn awaits applicants for the position of Left Hand of Justice. For those who are curious about this position, their main duty during a Chamber trial is to act as defense counsel and establish the full line of evidence. They counterweight the Right Hand's prosecution efforts and ensure that the defendant is fully aware of their rights. Altogether, they are a critical part to the fairness of a trial. For anyone interested, check Kir's latest news post for application details.

The Headmaster of the Shadow Academy, our in-character beginning point and source of Brotherhood education, has overseen the improvement and implementation of Shadow Academy Courses from the beginning of the Brotherhood. Now, current Headmaster Taigikori Aybara Dupar has made two such innovations. The Antei Combat Center Basics course has been massively reworked with the assistance of the Voice of the Brotherhood, Halcyon Taldrya, and a new course called Galactic Languages is poised to become another stepping stone on the path to great Brotherhood writing. Check out the Shadow Academy for these new courses, or look over Taig's latest report to see how things are progressing.

The Cocytus System mentioned above is the home of House Scholae Palatinae, a House that has recently undergone great events and tribulations of its own. After battling the terroristic Cause, they have succeeded and have crowned Xen'Mordin Vismorsus as their Quaestor and system Emperor. Also, in the Yridia System we see the first echoes of a major shift with the rise of Quaestor Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae, an Elder of the Brotherhood and veteran of Tarentum. Hopefully, we'll see great new relations fostered with these two Houses.

Now, some stuff from home. With the Taking of Si'Tilk at a close, we're beginning the long-awaited Training Program. The Plagueian Path is our new Master/Student Program and has its roots far back in time, in Clan Plagueis and the Rule of Two Program. A few veterans of this House will know that for ages, Plagueis' weakest point was its training efforts. Now, I can happily say that at long last, this trend is gone. More on the Plagueian Path below.

And finally, as mentioned above, we give great thanks to Cassandra El'sin for her exemplary service as Rollmaster of Plagueis. From the moment Kaira Rohana opened the post by stepping aside, Cassandra had very big shoes to fill. From the uptake, Cassie was responsive and helpful, fulfilling the roles we needed her to and bringing a new face to the game. Now, as with so many who serve in the position of Rollmaster, real life has beckoned her away. Stepping up to fill the void is Rollmaster Tra'an Reith, and at no finer a time could he have ascended to the position. For now, within Plagueis, the duty of a Rollmaster is about to undergo great changes. More on that in the following months.

The Plagueian Path: The Plagueian Path will be initiated in phases, being installed bit my bit and fleshed out until at full power. For now, we've enlisted members at and beyond the rank of Dark Jedi Knight as Masters, their goal to train willing members between Protector and Jedi Hunter as their Students. We also seek a Taskmaster to oversee our Prospects, the members at Apprentice, Novice, and Acolyte Ranks and teach them the basics of the Brotherhood and Plagueis! Finally, as a venue for our training of students, Morroth's Temple of Plagueis has been reclaimed by the House and has largely been converted to our training needs. Throughout the program, we'll discover more on the dark history of that particular building. Anyone interested in the Taskmaster position, or any Plagueian wishing to be part of the program, should contact myself, Aedile Shai, or Rollmaster Reith.

House Enemy: As hinted at, teased with, and whispered about, our development of Plagueis' new House Enemy will begin again in earnest immediately. One of the later projects of Clan Plagueis, this was put on hold because of the Reform. However, with the Reboot's success, I feel we are ready to fill the void left by Plagueis' destruction of the Crimson Tide under Braecen Kaeth's leadership. Now, we have our system in a grip of iron, our laws are enforced and our wills obeyed throughout Jusadih, but a disturbance in the Force warns us of the future, of a time of danger and uncertainty... a time of rebellion.

Dominion Rewrite: Plagueis has always been a unit troubled by disparate information, inadequate record-keeping and accomodating the remains of two Clans. It has seen the trials of membership without proper education. Even in these weakened states, though, we've survived. Members such as myself, among many others, have clawed their way up to success in the Brotherhood. We did it without a huge Order of Battle, without Elder education or Dominions built to please. Now, with our past in mind, we're finally in a position to give Plagueis a better future. I aim to spearhead that long-enduring desire, to finally work at fixing and expanding this wonderful House. Our first aim in that is our Dominion, the planets of the Jusadih System. We will rewrite each planet as needed, streamlining them to the purposes of the Ascendant House. Our first goal, naturally, is the planet Kapsina, headquarters of the Jusadih Military Regime and the Plagueis Summit, capital world of Jusadih.

Independence and Ascendancy: A peek at our new goal, though anyone reading the title knows the plan. The next couple of weeks will see competitions meant to engage, train, and prepare our members for the upcoming Independence Games. They will sharpen writing and poetry skills, encourage gamers to dust off their rifles and sabers, get graphics artists at the forefront of their art, and lend a hand to those less common, but no less important, aspects of Brotherhood activity. With the training we will undertake, I have no doubt that Plagueis will present a fine showing and an example of growth to the Brotherhood at large.

The Jusadih Armed Forces has seen a massive reduction given the recent AWOL checks, but its membership is now full of solid and active members. While they sorely feel the loss of Major Koga Kage to House Odan-Urr, they make up for it with the arrival of 1st Lieutenant Jaek Aralias from Revan, as well as 1st Lieutenant NightFang and 2nd Lieutenant Aar Bhos fresh from Lyspair. Finally, the recent returns of Lieutenant Colonel Furios and 1st Lieutenant Kodais Solatus add to this surge of new life within the Branch.

For the Taking of Si'Tilk, Army's contributions were generally great and well-deserved, though many had time constraints keeping them back from the initial weeks. All the same, their activity excites me and gives me incentive to reward them. As such, Army will be one of two Branches in our first Joint Ops competition! Anyone interested in participating in this Run-On event should get in contact with myself, Lt. Supreme Commander Sarak Shai, or Grand General Mograine. Remember, we need six entries at least to start the Run-On!

Jusadih's Naval Command recently took a hit with the departure of Rear Admiral Kaira Rohana to House Odan-Urr. We wish Kaira the best and thank her for her long tenure of service. In addition, many members have departed the Branch due to the AWOL Check. Luckily, however, the voices of a few dedicated Naval officers remain strong. I'd like to thank Grand Admiral Cassandra El'sin and Commander Tiberius di Cloud in particular for their steadfast presence. I cannot wait to see how their continued presence helps Navy Branch to grow mighty once again.

Because of the distance between systems and because of the hard work of Navy Branch throughout its Reformed existence, we've given one of their missions storyline precedence in the politics between Houses. The new Emperor of the Cocytus Empire has prompted the Jusadih Military Regime to send envoys to the system, which is located within Hutt Space. It could prove as a source of trade, knowledge, and alliance, and at worst will save us some future foes. However, they must first deal with the infringement of a Hutt cartel's hired pirates, who attack without knowing of the Dark Jedi onboard the corvette Silent Scream. I look forward to some great-quality entries, Navy!

The Intelligence Directorate's recent AWOL losses weren't altogether surprising, though its current roster of Operatives is entirely active. I give a nod to Lieutenant Colonel Navrez and Captain Eivil Grimstroke for their work in the Taking of Si'Tilk. Also noteworthy is the return of 2nd Lieutenant Eridanis Aquila, who was accidentally lumped into the AWOL pool because of an email issue. Her return and the solidity of Intel Branch over time gives me great faith in the Branch as a part of Plagueis' framework. Even when times get tough, the Directorate will be there.

Because of the exceptional work of active members, because many of the greatest PLA members so far have begun as Intel Operatives, and because it acts as a consistent source of PLA strength, I've decided to include Intel Branch in the first Joint Ops competition. While undercover investigating disturbing numbers in the logistics of one of Shintera's major medical centers, Intel Operatives will uncover a powerful secret. They'll have to call on their Army counterparts for assistance, and will uncover the first puzzle piece in Plagueis' next great threat. Remember, Ops, we need at least six participants to launch this Run-On! Sign up today with myself, Lt. Supreme Commander Sarak Shai, or Directorate General Unus Domus.

When I appointed CAG Marshal Tra'an Reith to his position before the onset of the Taking of Si'Tilk, I would be lying to say I didn't have my doubts. Past CAG Marshal appointments had turned out poorly, adding to the Starfighter Corps' already-tattered reputation as a weak point in the House. What I found, instead of inactivity, was a member willing to Adapt to the challenges before him. He Ascended beyond his lack of preparation for such an assignment, and through the contact and activity of members like Flight Cadet Vessicant, Flight Cadet Zuser Whuloc, Flight Officer Zeon Blacktooth, and Flight Cadet Alaris Jinn di Plagia, he Availed in his goal to resuscitate the Branch. I'm proud to say that every member listed above will have a bright future as a pilot of Plagueis, among other, more-lucrative rewards.

Corps Branch this month will face a bit of training for the Independence Games; the fighter defines their role in Jusadih's Regime, and so I want to exercise their poetic muscles for future events. I'll do this by giving them a topic they all have learned to relate to: their bond with their fighter. I task each and every pilot to send me a piece of poetry about their designated craft, whether it bears them lovingly through weightlessness or threatens to come apart like the Millenium Falcon in a black hole's grip. Specifics can be found on the competition. Go to it, Corps!

Special Mention this month is the easiest it's been since I began: I want to thank each and every Plagueian out there. Because of you guys, of your hard work and dedication, we've braved the storm of the Reboot Event, installed a new and functional Military Regime, and have even kicked off the Plagueian Path. With the Independence Games, the Dominion Rewrite, and a hidden House Enemy already garnering power in Jusadih, I look forward to the wonders we can accomplish. With the planning and dedication of the Summit as the map and the generous activity of every active Plagueian we can get as fuel(perhaps laced with a touch of Dark Council nitrous) we continue to rush forward to a new age in the Brotherhood. And, in the way of this new Plagueian movement for strength, we continue to spearhead the changes and push the boundaries. Without each and every supporter I have, I'd still be just a member with too many plans and not enough means.

To sum it up, Plagueis, thank you. I owe you this House, and all of its future glory.

"Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors." - African Proverb
