Report #1 - March 10, 2011 <-

Welcome to my very first DGM Report. I will be using the same template that I used for my Voice reports, since I like the colour scheme already :P I was Voice for nearly a full year, so I believe everyone should be more or less familiar with who I am. I won't bore anyone with my history, suffice to say that I have been here awhile. Feel free to e-mail me at any time for anything. I am here to make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves in the club, while also trying to help us continue our growth. There are a lot of things floating around the club right now that are very exciting for us and should offer something to everyone.

A brief little announcement from me. I will be going on vacation starting Saturday and will not be returning until Monday, March 21. I will not have much internet access, if at all, so basically assume that I will not be able to respond to you during that time at all. Vivackus can more than handle any ACC related issues that may crop up, and feel free to contact Timeros if you happen to have any specific questions regarding the fictional elements of the DB

Oh, I also promise to come back and not disappear on Muz :P

Below are the March Competitions...yay! I will be looking after these competitions until completion. As April are the IGs there should not be any need for more competitions until May, which the new Voice will take care of. All of the competitions finish at the end of March, so there is still plenty of time!

Load the Can(n)ons #7 - Each month we will give you the opportunity of throwing it down with a character from the "real" Star Wars universe. Your job is to write the story of a battle between yourself and that character. The story would be considered "out of continuity" as the timelines just would not match. The idea if for your character as they currently are to face off against a canon character from a specific timeline. How that happens is completely up to you. Instead of one person this month, we are going with a "position". For this month you may battle any Mandalore, or even a combination of them. The choice is yours.

What Goes Around... - Every decision we make shapes our future. One such decision, or series of decisions, has come back to haunt you. Someone from your past (family member, friend, former DB member, etc...) seeks retribution for some wrong that has happened to them. They are coming for you.

Victory - You are a reporter doing an investigative piece on the 5th anniversary of the Dark Brotherhood's triumph over the rest of the Galaxy. Check the link out for further details

New Beginnings - Please check the link for a bit of the starting fiction needed to tell this story. You are playing a character living far in the future. The Galaxy is a very different place. Your character has come across the Holocron of the Dark Brotherhood. The Holocron can explain much, and you will need it, as you are destined to rebuild the DB.

I have had a few people ask me about this, so here is the official announcement that VOICE Applications are now being accepted. I will not list out specifics as to what should be included in this application. As this is a Dark Council position, it is expected that anyone applying will know what they are applying for and what is expected of them. You can find information on specific duties on the wiki. I would also highly reccomend that you have read my previous reports as it will give you insight as to your responsibility and general direction that we were going in

All application should be sent to Muz and myself. Applications will be taken until March 21 (ie. while I'm away on vacation). Feel free to ask myself or Muz any questions regarding the application or the position itself. I look forward to seeing all of these applications roll in.

There was some exciting new on The Old Republic this week. The Guild system has been semi-released, so people can now start up their Guilds and have people tentatively join them. This is only the first step, but it's nice to see progress being made. As you can see from our current news page, Fremoc has been very busy in getting us set-up. If you're looking at being active in TOR, please join the DB Guild. We also have the DB Guild Forum where everything TOR-related can be discussed. We may be getting a messageboard hosted on the DB, but for now this is where we can all congregate.

Currently, our Guild relates only to the Sith Empire. We should have a Republic-based Guild in the future, but I believe we are waiting for the release of the game itself to ensure that we are all on the same server. The current Guild Forum allows us to have both "sides" together in one place, rather than using the TOR forums, which are Guild specific. I would just like to thank Fremoc for his efforts the last few days, and here's hoping for some more announcements!

So, that's about it for this report. There are no huge "announcements" to be made, other than my old position now being up for grabs...and the TOR news. This has been a hectic week for me as I have been getting ready for my vacation, while also transitioning into DGM and making sure various loose ends are tied up for Voice. Everything should be smooth while I'm away as everyone is more than able to handle anything thrown at them.
