House Marka Ragnos Qua Report #1

Introduction Greetings, I’d like to say welcome to the newly reopened House Marka Ragnos. This report is my first as Quaester of the House. This report will lay out a few things that I plan on working on as my time as Qua as well as the direction I wish to take the house as well.

A lot of activity to be had, I am impressed with the number of awards that have filled my inbox this month.

=HMR to come= With the reopening of Marka Ragnos there is much to do and much opportunity to be had. If you have an idea or wish to give me a hand at this process I would be muchly appreciated. Now onto some of my plans that I have, which frankly aren’t much but lately the world of real life has kept me pretty busy.

When we first got things organized at the beginning of the month I set out about talking to some of our older house members and asked many questions. I have determined to take HMR back to its roots or at least near enough for my liking. After much thought, below is my vision for the future of this great house. This is not set in stone however any opinion is welcome.

This is a question that has pecked my mind constantly, the identity I wish to give the house. I have been given an opportunity to shape a house from its re-founding. I looked at what House Marka Ragnos was before it was closed many months back, I spoke to the last Quaester and then I talked to Bob. I read the wiki articles on the house and I eventually got an idea. I do not want to lose the origins of the House. House Marka Ragnos was originally a Krath only house, so it’s always had a certain air about it if you will, the main population of Tarthos never knew that there were Dark Jedi in their midst. I wish to keep this alive; the main population of Tarthos will not know that there are dark Jedi among them. However this opportunity has given the house a chance to make changes for itself and I intend to make those changes as they come up.

I had thought about many things today and one of those is where should the base of operations be for the house. Keeping both houses right next to each other would not allow for individual fictional identity to be made, we don’t need to be in each other’s backyards to have to have allegiances first to Sadow. That being said, I would like base House Marka Ragnos out of the Ragnos Cathedral, my reasoning for this is before HMRs being closed it would give a good cover story that the followers of Ragnos took up hiding amongst this location and now that the house is back open it’s become active again. It’s just a physical location to call the epicenter of HMR, people would be encouraged to move beyond the walls.

=Closing= I would much like to hear from everyone in this house on what they wish to see and do. I have an open door so if you wish to talk pop in on IRC I’m normally around under some form of the name Teu, or email me.

Real life for me has been hectic this last month, I’ve moved home, visited with my dad, fought a couple of fires, and been to numerous doctors calls. I’m volunteering to help run a centennial celebration. I do apologize for not getting this report out sooner.
