Talos Erinos stood on one of the numerous grassy knolls that dotted the Planes of Eldar, his unique half-black and half-white cloak flapping in the mid-morning breeze. To his immediate right stood Celahir Erinos, the Quaestor of House Galeres and the newly appointed Praetor to the Seneschal. The Kiffar’s slight, but toned, arms were crossed and his expression was unreadable as he watched the progress in the valley below.

Behind the Quaestor and Aedile were two more figures; behind Celahir was Maaks Erinos, a Miralukan of few words, while Cethgus Entar, the hulking Zabrak clad in his modified Royal Guard armor, with one hand wrapped tightly around the pole of his lightsaber/polestaff.

Silence enveloped the hill, save for the muted sounds of workers below, for quite some time until, predictably, Cethgus broke it:

“I do not call this pace ‘on schedule’” grunted the Magistrate to the Fist.

Talos looked over a shoulder at the Entar and smirked:

“Nor do I, Cethgus, but this is the pace we must deal with. The House has naught to spare in the way of builders, as all are seeing to the more…delicate…aspects of our move”

Cethgus just grunted again and kicked at a loose clod of dirt.

“Be patient, Cethgus” Celahir said suddenly, speaking for the first time in the past half hour.

“When this project is complete, the workers will, unfortunately, suffer some sort of accident. You may want to look into that. Now, if you’ll excuse me” the Quaestor finished, nodding to his entourage as he walked away to meet the Chief Builder that was making his way towards the group.

As Talos turned towards the three remaining Dark Jedi, he saw the large grin that was spreading across Cethgus’ mottled face and the realization that was crawling across his brother’s.

“Yeah, accident my ass” he muttered.

Hey there Galerians, welcome to the first ever Galerian Aedile report of the Re-Clanned Arcona! We’ve got a lot to cover this time around, as you guys have been bastions of activity, something that Celahir and I really appreciate. So without any further ado, let’s get rolling!

// Straight from the Throne -- Brotherhood News \

1) Well, as we all probably have realized by now, the DBWiki has crapped out on us. However, while this throws a real wrench into the “character development” process, the good news is that the godsend known as Orv has been burning the midnight oil these past couple of days to get the wiki back up to usable standards.

However, there will be quite a lot of data that was not recoverable, meaning it’ll have to be re-written, along with user accounts that were created post December 2009. Alas, when you think what could have been the end result, this isn’t to bad. So make sure you thank Orv for his work when you see him! Oh, and gawk at his just near-god state. Can't forget that part ;)

2) The mighty sexy Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae, who happens to be our Clan Rollmaster and Combat Master, has released the “Matchmaker” system for the Brotherhood. Basically, think e-Harmony for beating the crap out of fictional Dark Jedi. These are casual battles in the 2+2 format, set against a random opponent, that are perfect to help you keep your skills in the ACC sharp…or in my case, get them sharp :P

3) Timeros has also made some modifications to the Timeout and Extension rules in the Combat Centre, so make sure to check out that post on the DB Main Page.

4) The Fist of the Brotherhood, Fremoc Pepoi Sadow, was promoted to Obelisk Exarch; make sure to congratulate him when you next see him. No telling what he could do with that fist….

// The Only Cool Stuff Is That Which Happens in the Shadows -- Clan News \

1) The major thing here is that we are currently running the joint Arcona-Tarentum competition/story development arc “Into the Underworld”. The joint-competition is in its final throes of Week 2, with the deadline being 11:59 EST for all gaming and fiction submissions.

However, fear not, the gaming requirements and fiction topics are both interesting and easy to get into, so you can easily whip up a quick fiction and send it off to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] or play a couple Team matches and submit them via your Administration Page. I hope to see you all try and get something in, if you haven’t already. My fiction is nearly done and I plan on putting the final touches on it right after I’m done here.

2) The second major bit of news that has been buzzing around Clan Arcona is that the Seneschal, our very own Orv, has taken on a new Praetor…who happens to be our very own Quaestor, Celahir Erinos! Make sure to congratulate Celahir on his new position and, from what I’ve heard already, get ready for some really cool stuff (cough Possessions cough).

// The Meat of the Matter -- House News \

1) Cethgus Entar, one of the most loyal vassals of Arcona and Galeres that I’ve ever had the privilege of working with, has surpassed one of the most significant milestones of any person’s Brotherhood career…the receiving of a Sacramental Award. Indeed, Cethgus is now the wielder of his very own Sapphire Blade, awarded by the Fist, for his outstanding service and dedication both to that Office, plus the myriad of positions he’s held in the past, which include Aedile and Quaestor of this very House. So congratulations, Cethgus! Definitely well earned!

2) But now, we must address a sadder note; due to Real Life issues, Sith Battlelord Andrelious J. Inahj, more commonly known as “Lenzar”, has had to step down from the position of Battleteam Leader of Sukhur’s Legion. We truly appreciate all of Lenzar’s contributions to the Clan and House and wish him the best of luck in sorting out his RL obligations.

3) And the news keeps on rolling; after some lengthy discussions with both Celahir and members of the Upper Summit, we have decided to close down Sukhur’s Legion, effectively immediately. Taking the Legion’s place is a brand new Battleteam, with the name of Revenance Virtuom, which will be lead by none other than Cethgus Entar.

Revenance Virtuom, despite its arcane sounding name, will be House Galeres (and Clan Arcona’s) primary Gaming Team and they will be busy training for the Great Jedi War X, which is lurking just around the corner.

However, a Battleteam, be it gaming-focused or not, is nothing without a fictional background and therefore, Cethgus will be assisted by the skilled Maaks Erinos in that aspect.

Maaks has been busy handling all sorts of fictional projects for both RV and the House as a whole and from what I’ve seen so far, he truly has a gift for writing.

And now to end this spiel, the next time you see Cethgus and/or Maaks, make sure to give them a pat on a back for their hard work and willingness to step up to the plate. The Summit definitely appreciates it and we know that you, the members, will enjoy what they have in store.

:: Well that’s about it for news, ranging from the Brotherhood as a whole, all the way down to our extremely awesome (and sexy) House. Now, onto the stuff that directly affects, or will soon directly affect, the membership of Galeres. Which, in the course of my rantings, is you all in case you’ve forgotten ::

// What We (The Summit) Have Been Up To \ First off, I know that we of the House Summit have been rather quiet of late, and for that, I apologize. However, with my appointment as Aedile, and then Celahir being raised to Praetor to the Seneschal, and so on, to say we’ve had some “internal issues” that needed smoothing out is apt.

But do not fear my pretties…and/or mutter seditious-like comments! While we have been quiet, this is true, but we have been quietly working. As mentioned above, Maaks Erinos has been helping Celahir and me with giving Galeres what I like to think of as a “facelift”.

Unfortunately, to ensure your maximum enjoyment when our plans are officially released, I cannot give you all the details on what we’ve been doing, but I can give you all a few breadcrumbs about the more significant items.

•House Galeres will be paying homage to its original incarnation as a warrior society, where the best swordsmen/combatants of the Brotherhood came from House Galeres.

•Galeres will also be moving forward in the “modern” galaxy, and will be leaving the drug trade to our brethren in House Qel-Droma.

•We will however, be picking up a new trade, one that is just as profitable as the drug trade but none more legal ;D

•The concept of the Shadesworn will be explained/explored a bit more thoroughly with Galeres’ backstory.

•We will all be getting out of Mount Faspere and stretching our legs and residing in a brand new base.

•As mentioned above, Sukhur’s Legion will meet some sort of unfortunate end (possible competition warning), giving way to the rise of Revenance Virtoum. Soulfire Strike Team will, as always, remain a constant facet of Galeres and Arcona, kicking ass and taking names.

:: So yeah, I need to stop blabbing before Celahir sacks me, but all I can say is...we have been working hard getting stuff in order and I know you'll all enjoy it. Because, as much as we like to deny it in public, our heart melts for Star Wars. ::

Because you all are such go-getters, I’ve got quite a few awards and promotions to go over, some of which have already been addressed above but, like many of the Brotherhood’s achievements, warrants another mentioning. Here we go!

Saarin Vahn – Dark Cross, 97% on Leadership Studies, appointed as RV’s second-in-command!

Kaox Krul – Promotion to Novice, 97% on the Clan Arcona History Exam, 94% on the Race and Species Exam!

VanWyck – Aced the Combat Tactics II Exam, almost ready for Knighting!

Celevon Edraven – Created a new Character Sheet and has begun his final requirement for Knighting!

Apohpis Undomiel – Started his Character History and passed the Krath CORE with a 100% and the Astronomy Studies Exam with an 81%!

Darth Sarin – Emerged victorious in an ACC Battle against Guinevere Deschain! Also worked out alongside C-3PO ;)

Well done to everybody listed above and congratulations on your many achievements! In stealing words from Wuntila, you guys make Galeres what it is!

And that’s about it for my first Aedile Report! I know it was a long ‘un but it had to be done to properly cover all of the time since Celahir released his last report. I promise that my future reports shouldn’t be that long ;) As for a shecdule for releasing reports, expect two a month from the House Summit, one from Quaestor Celahir and one from me. As for Battleteam Leaders, we’ll be working with them on a report shecdule, but as of now, they are expected to release at least once a month.
