Kurs'kranak Eldar

The sound of heavy footsteps reverberated through the empty hall as a hooded figure strode brazenly into the structure. The daunting doors to the building opened at his approach, untouched by mortal hands. Light streamed into the darkened hall, as the stranger made his way inside..

The figure was not alone. Shadows flickered through the darkness as cloaked figures slipped into the building to stand sentinel around the carved pillars barring the edges of the hall, seemingly out of place in the home of House Galeres. The hooded figure stood silently, observing a mural painted on the furthest wall. It was proclaimed a celebration of the Shadow Clan's victory on Antei several years before. A tortured sigh escaped his lips, full of regret and loss.

Both friends and colleagues had died in the war, more finding rest on New Tython. The memories of those who had fallen, both good and bad, flashed through his mind. The gems of Arcona had been lost. No longer was Sashar at the forefront of the Clan, guiding those that truly needed his presence. Not to mention Zandro, brother to all. Arcona had lost more than just a Consul. The Erinos had suffered more than most from the Grand Master's machinations, with his intent to track down those that had plagued the Brotherhood since the reclamation of Antei.....with the information that had been given by Omancor Crask about the planet.

Sashar.....Zandro.....His knuckles whitened as he clenched his fists in anger. That was not the only thing that hurt, though it was by far the strongest. No, there was much more. Anger and regret warred within the hooded warrior as he acknowledged the losses that Galeres had suffered. His beloved brother, Talos, had gone to track down Dash Kuatir leaving the Aedileship vacant when he was needed most. Timeros, the most trusted of the Entar family had resigned from Rollmaster, leaving the Journeymen of Galeres with a greater lack of wisdom and patience. Celahir Erinos grit his teeth as he weighed the options. The Lord Consul Elect; Wuntila Zratian Entar Arconae, had demanded that the Kiffar go over datafiles of the candidates suitable to replace these noted luminaries of Galeres. In a time where all things where uncertain and numb, he drew on the deepest of his reserves to do what he must.

He acknowledged the surrounding darkness.

"Brothers and sisters, beloved Housemates, your Quaestor stands before you with a decision to that must be made," Celahir paused and stared into the shadows. "It shall be witnessed." he decreed, as two figures materialised from the encroaching gloom to approach the Prelate.

The two cloaked figures came to a stop and knelt before the tattooed humanoid, their right hand clenched over their heart in salute.

"We have found replacements for our keenly felt absentees." The Obelisk gestured to the kneeling Dark Jedi. "Archpriestess Xathia Tugrina, you have been called to the responsibilities of House Rollmaster. Do you accept your charge?" Celahir lowered his gaze to catch the Krath's eye.

She nodded briskly, all business. "Yes brother, I do."

The Quaestor turned to the second kneeling figure. His solemnl visage softened for a moment, a thin smile breaking forth before disappearing back under the solemnity.

"Templar Tscuyra, I charge with the responsibilities of Aedile, do you take upon you this responsibility??"

The Entar glanced up at the Kiffar with barely contained fervour. "By the Well of Souls, I do. I will serve the Shadow Clan as I serve the Warrior's House."

"Arise then, as equals."

The Erinos smiled wanly and the shadows were instantly banished as the two Equites rose from the ground, lights burst into existence from braziers attached to the wall. An ascending wall of roars clouded the hall as the assembled Galerians applauded and cheered the newly appointed Summit members.

Celahir turned to glance behind him at the mural depicting the Brotherhood's victory on Antei. Raw emotions smouldered beneath the surface, but he allowed for more pressing matters; Galeres' future, to take precedence.

"Brothers and Sisters," he addressed the hushed crowd. "The future of Galeres is dawning upon us, but we still have much more to achieve......"

Hey there, and welcome to yet another of your Quaestor's reports, this one has taken a bit longer than planned seeing as the site absolutely hates me. But here it is in all its gorgeousness, go read!

Ps. The fiction is written by Sang, I'll consider doing one my own...someday.

• ### Summit changes:

As most of you'll have seen in your inboxes, and read in the fiction. We've had some summit changes. Tim and Talos have resigned and I'd like to once again would like to thank them for everything they've done. Replacing them will be Xathia as House RM and Sang as my Aedile. I look forward to working with both of you.

• ### Starscream Tactical Solutions:

We come to the future of Galeres, before Talos sadly resigned, he worked on this little project that I had decided to properly unveil and initiate in conjunction with Qel-Droma's domicile on Port Ol'val. Sadly we have been delayed in getting this running, however with the new Summit in, I have decided that now is the best time to advertise it. "Starscream Tactical Solutions is a privately owned, funded, and operated Special Forces unit that has recently come on the black market of the Dajorra System. Offering top-notch operators with elite training and state-of-the-art equipment for any situation, STS specializes in what others would consider "impossible" or "high-risk" jobs. Due to their high success rate, professional courtesy, rigid discipline, and minimal fatality rate, Starscream is fast becoming the top choice for individuals or businesses that outsource to military contractors. But while STS is a very real company, with a very real source of income, it is nevertheless a front for the Dark Jedi House of Galeres, founded by Quaestor Celahir and Aedile Talos Erinos in mid-35 ABY."Check out the full information on STS here This will be coming into full effect as the front for Galeres immediately. Sang and I will be working on integrating the current set up with it regarding the Battleteams.

• ### Arcona vs. Odan-Urr:

The pre-event competition regarding the fictional introduction to the event has been marked and surprise, surprise, it's an Arconan who won...mainly because no HOUers competed. However, in order to compete in this event, you need to find a partner from Odan Urr. That's right, FROM ODAN URR. Sang for example has teamed up with Kaira. Why? Because she's probably going to be the only active HOUer. (He's a smart guy for someone who's so bloody stupid.)Wuntila and Ji have both been busy in RL regarding university, so the release of the fiction has been delayed as it must be spellchecked, edited and successive chapters written out. However, expect it out soon and remember to cc myself and Sang on all entries so we can rewards you with shinies! Expect there to be plenty of fun, shenanigans and tears as Arcona triumphs. Mainly with Sang and Kaira in the top three due to spamming entries. :P This event has been set on hold due to RL being a bitch.

Today's goodies include a 'robe' uniform set, named the 'Academy', crafted by Shikyo and available to everyone for use on their dossiers.

We also have a killer lightsaber, this one from Ekeia's workshop. This one is called the 'Brood' and is available for any member who has been knighted.
