Introduction

It is a new era, Pilus. A time for expansion, growth, and conquest. This is our time; this is when we rise up, dismiss the past, and seize the future.

We've entered the year 2012. House Plagueis yet stands, and our strength is building up again. Our Wiki's nice and organized, our Prospectus is shiny and new, our members actually speak and our storyline is making the jump to lightspeed. We're still here. We still fight. We rise. Our motto of Adapt, Ascend, Avail has never been more true, and it is because of one cause, Pilus. It's not because of the Dark Council's admirable work, though their leadership is beyond compare. It's not because of the Summit, although they fight hard and never tire in defending your enjoyment of Plagueis. It's not because of me, the Last Son, or the work I've put in(Tra'an won't shut up about it, so I guess it's decent).

It's you, Pilus. You have been the glue that has kept this team together.

When I first returned to Plagueis and became Commander, you were some of the House's only actives. Within a week, you were seen across channels communicating, breathing some life back in. You worked hard and fought bravely to garner awards and boost activity, while some of you took on much-needed projects. When members needed help, regardless of Clan or House, you were there; in the Great Jedi War, Pilus members were our top competitors. Last year, you were the ashes; you became the seed. Last year, you were the remnant; you became the resurrection.

Last year, you were only a Battleteam; now, you have become the Blade of Plagueis, and have defended our honor. I salute you.

Now, enough speech. On to the New Year.

News and Changes

TOR is out, but more on that in a bit.

Our next competition set in line with the Origins Storyline is Oath. I want to remind everyone that, while this was set in the past, you can still compete; we can retcon you in as one of the team's originals. Oath itself will be a Run-On, while we will also have a Shadow Academy and Poetry competition tie-in. I look forward to seeing our budding history take wing.

Koga Kage, a dedicated member of Pilus and a long-time Plagueian, has been appointed to the post of Flight Leader Minor. I issued everyone a challenge to impress me; he has consistently done so, not with base activity, but with a drive to improve the Battleteam and the House. He will be competing with Leader Superior Furios; I hope to see a good race, boys.

Finally, the Missions and Training Missions continue in Plagueis; I expect all of you to participate, as these will form our Storyline and lead into our House Enemy. In addition, if any of you wishes to help develop some of our NPC characters or run competitions using them, contact the Summit; we'll get you sorted.

TOR and Gaming

Well, folks, at last, The Old Republic is here. We have seen a few of our members online, but I'd love to see more; if you have TOR, get in touch with me on my character, Vorrac, or my alt, Kal'vorrac. If we work together, level our characters together, and establish a solid Plagueian presence, we stand to rake in the Clusters of Fire and breathe new life into this House's gaming capabilities.

If one of us is a lower level, go back and help them out. If one of us needs to do a Flashpoint or Heroic quest, lend a hand. Use your crafting skills to aid one another; consider specializing to complement one another. In this way, we will make Pilus powerful on TOR, and help to build a better PLA and a better Brotherhood.

Thoughts

To help Plagueis succeed, we don't need mad Competition wins. We don't need total TOR supremacy. We don't need high ranks. What we need is communication.

Speak on the Googlegroup. Communicate on IRC. Chat on TOR, chat on Vent, email one another. Whatever you do, work together, participate together. Interact with one another and you will create friendships; use those, and you will make this House great. You will plant the seeds to make Plagueis a Clan anew.
