House Plagueis Aedile Report

Jusadih System Kapsina Dark Tower, Exterior 35 ABY

_The desert sands blew through the fading twilight, brushing against grey plates of armor as he watched from the dunes. The spire of the Dark Tower rose before him.

At last, Kormus had found his quarry. He had located Vorrac. “Found you.”

Lifting the macrobinoculars to his helmet’s T-visor, he studied the sleeping Sith as he tossed and turned. In his sleep, he truly looked like an old man; the hardness in his face seemed to ease, and he lost the menacing cold that made him such a striking figure. Standing tall, it was hard to think of him as old at all; experienced was a better word. In his sleep, when not conscious and on guard, he looked frail.

The thought made Kormus’ mouth twist behind his helmet. Anyone who thought Vorrac frail only had to try and sneak up on him - the durasteel slab he slept on wasn’t for back support. “What has you scared, Sith?” The hunter asked himself. “What could make the Butcher of Jusadih tremble?”

Unknown Location Bridge of Unknown Capital Ship Exact Date Uncertain 35 ABY

Fire and death. All about him, Plagueis burned. “Seal off the bridge!” He roared, his red saber batting back more bolts.

Tra’an rested in the Admiral’s chair behind him, a trickle of blood running down his unconscious face. Wounds bloodied the skin-changer’s clothing. About him, the injured forms of Kuro and Starrett aided his efforts to fight off their enemies. Near everyone that had survived was on the Bridge, mopping up the last of the ship’s crew as they fought to make their escape.

The doors slammed shut as a fresh volley of turbolaser fire peppered the Bridge’s topside, causing the ship to rock. Sparks flew from monitors as they overloaded and died. Looking to Furios, who had taken over the helm, he saw the horrified look on his face.

“How long until we can reach hyperspace?” The Sith demanded. When the Obelisk didn’t reply, he shouted. “How long?!”

“Aedile...” The Knight said, disbelieving. “The star... it’s...”

A brilliant flash obscured all for but a moment, the shockwave knocking all onboard the ship over. Then, everything seemed to stretch, even as the ship reeled in the void.

“Brace yourselves!” Vorrac roared again as a turbolaser bolt shot toward the bridge, only to see it stop in mid-air and reverse direction.

Jusadih System Kapsina Dark Tower Kal’s Chambers

The Sith sat upright with a gasp, his eyes a deep and sulfuric yellow as he drew in air. Every muscle in his body was tensed, his mechanical parts coiled as if to spring outward, and cold sweat covered his frame. Steadying himself, twisting his fear into an icy rage and demanding calm from the Force, he took a deep breath and stood upright. The lightsaber on the table flipped through the air and into its hand with a violent spin, clipping itself roughly to his belt as he grabbed a robe off of the peg near the door. Reaching into it, he discarded its black expanse after extracting a communicator.

The image of Gon, wearing only his mask, a pair of boots, and black trousers, appeared. Judging by the heave of his tattooed body and the lightsaber in his off hand, he’d been training. “Yes, my Master?”

“Get me the Quaestor now. Slay any guardsman who delays you.” As the Jedi Hunter went to speak, Kal’s glare seemed to take on a glow, his voice a roar. “Go now!”

Startled, the Jedi Hunter rushed away, his blade the last visible image as the hologram dissipated._

** -> News <- **

Welcome to my first official report as the Aedile of the Ascendant House. It gives me great honor to serve within the Summit again, just as it makes me proud to see all of the members succeeding. Our Battleteam grows in size, activity, and skill. Our Taskmaster’s whip heralds the growth of our Journeymen, all ascending in rank. Our Knights and Equites win great victories, within the House and outside of it. Our ToR team continues to kick ass, take names, and fill my inbox with Clusters of Fire and Pendants of Blood - they could literally stitch them together and armor themselves by now.

Best of all, the Summit is whole, and is growing again.

Today’s news comes with the best information I’ve had in weeks - we haven’t had a single Summit change since my appointment. We are stable. Since his appointment to Commander in my stead, Kuro Kogarasu - the dashing, bespectacled rogue you all call Koga Kage - has been exceptional in his position and continues to help the team grow. Taskmaster Dacien Victae continues as Taskmaster, also in my stead, and has cemented that position’s duties; now, perhaps a new adherent of the whip is on the horizon.

We’ve recently had a controversial member transfer into this House. He comes with a mottled background and a bad reputation, but like many members before, he has chosen to take the Ascendant path. Many other troubled members throughout the Brotherhood have had a tenure in Plagueis, and have used that time to change their ways and become productive and capable parts of the membership. Thus, having been given a clean slate and a new start, it is my pleasure to welcome Brimstone to the Ascendant House.

The Headmaster of the Brotherhood is looking for members to assist in writing a new SA exam. This exam would be about the history of the Sith Empire between KotoR and ToR, and would likely feature information from the official timelines and several other written resources. Given the amount of ass we all seem to kick in ToR, I would say the Ascendant House is a natural place to find writers with the necessary skill. If you want some SA cred and your name on the big lists, get in touch with Ronovi or her Praetor, Solus Gar.

Next up, the Herald’s Office is also seeking assistance for a variety of tasks of moderate to low overall priority. While that doesn’t sound appealing right away, to the Herald, “moderate to low” typically means “Not for the next Vendetta,” and probably includes images for major assets across the Brotherhood. Get in touch with Ekeia Iclo, Praetor to the Herald, if you wish to assist - Shikyo is still on the high seas, serving his country honorably.

A new Star Wars franchise is coming up called Star Wars: 1313. The title is set to feature a bounty hunter in Coruscant’s underworld, and is supposedly going to be a Third Person Shooter. Players will use “exotic weapons” alongside human skills and technology, rather than the Force, to get to the bottom of a conspiracy on Coruscant. From the description so far, I can imagine a multiplayer mode might be involved, but more details will be revealed at E3.

Balthier, an old friend of mine and a respected Arconan, has had to step down from the position of House Galeres Aedile. In his absence, Wuntila, Dragon of Selen and Consul of Clan Arcona, has extended applications for the position. I encourage any Plagueian who is ready, able, and willing to apply. It is no secret that Plagueis seeks improved relations with the DC, the Clans, and the Houses - what better way to work toward Brotherhood cooperation and growth than to have an Ascendant disciple take a position in the Clan of Shadows? Put your name in, and let the dice roll.

This report will be different than past reports - you have the Quaestor’s report to tell you of the future and major events, and you have the Rollmaster’s report to keep you up to date on general activity, transfers, and promotions. This report will focus on the practical duties of the Right Hand of Plagueis - the projects, goals, and tasks my office completes for PLA. This will be your mainline for topics involving our Military, System, and components of Major Events(free of spoilers, of course). Enjoy.

** -> Projects <- **

We’ve had some huge stuff fall into our laps lately, so I’m going to open the Projects section with this. Starting immediately, I’m calling an immediate project halt. Until we know what’s going on from on high, I want no one’s effort to be in vain.

I should congratulate and thank Kodais Solatus and Furios Morega for all of their hard work thus far. So far, we’ve been given a working Ascendant Legion and nearly a Fleet, while they had some big plans for our Dominion. In the meantime, they are hard at work on our next big deal, so look forward to seeing them somewhere important.

Our next big projects are focusing on monumental changes for how Plagueis runs things. I cannot go into detail, but yes, my fiction above shows our next major encounter after Horizons. No, I will not leak details - suffice to say that the right people are involved, and that times are changing.

Plagueis is the Ascendant House. This is what we do. We train, we learn, we fight. We do it all to be the best, and we will continue to do so for the entirety of our existence. The height of our work can be seen during Vendetta events, so that is where our focus shall shift - we shall be, quite literally, the House of Vendetta. To that end, expect projects and tasks that will shape your skills and improve our assets as a whole.

Upcoming Events

As the first move in our drive to improve, I will be launching the Plagueis Qualification Series on June 10th. This competition will involve me teaching all those interested the tricks of the ACC, with the aim of getting qualified. The members who improve the most, work the hardest, and qualify with the best results will be rewarded first, second, and third. That said, I encourage even qualified ACC’ers to participate, as you can never learn too much.

If this event is successful, I aim to follow it up with an Ascendant Ladder in the Plagueis Hall, a Wiki and Writing Series, and other training events. This is how we will become strong - where other units worry about this internal strife, or that next part of their content, we will war our way to victory.

Our next Vendetta is just around the corner, and is fittingly named Horizons. Like the last War, we aim to give the Brotherhood hell, and either take victory or take as much blood from them as we can. This time, however, fictional tie-ins for inter-unit Vendettas will be present at the ending and greater rewards will be presented to the winners.

Sharpen your skills, Plagueians. The War comes soon.

Conclusion

My report has been shortened by quite a few things, but here’s a synopsis for you TL;DR types:

  • PLA rocks, the Summit is whole.
  • CMDR of Pilus is doing well, FLs are training, a new Taskmaster is on the horizon.
  • Welcome, Brimstone. Your clean slate is here - use it well.
  • The HM needs someone to help write a KotoR-ToR history exam.
  • The Herald’s Office needs a few helping hands. Go apply if you do graphics.
  • Star Wars: 1313 slated for release soon, starts new game franchise. More on that at E3.

  • Project Halt in effect. Stay tuned.
  • Great work, Kodais and Furios, thanks for all of your help.
  • Times are changing - be ready to Adapt.
  • PLA Qualification Series coming out on June 10th - sign up today.
  • Horizons is just around the corner - sharpen those skills!

Adapt. Ascend. Avail. Glory to Plagueis.

Ty for the welcoming reception. I hope to do the house proud.

Also hope none of the Tarentum brethren I left dont use my acceptance as a vendetta against this house....You know how sith are on vendettas LOL

I also hope to gain rank and leadership roles eventually in the house too, and even train some of our newer Sith into the Dark Side of the Force and bring them to surpass me.

Bows

Brimstone
