<h2>News</h2> Welcome to the first report for Battle Team Dark Forge! So hopefully most of you have woken up from your long winter's nap after the frenzy activity from the Beyond the Horizon Feud. Rest up while you can, all indications point to 2013 being full of Brotherhood wide events!
<h2>Beyond the Horizon</h2> I thought I would devote a small section to the Battle Team's performance during our recent Event with House Plagueis. In short... we owned it!
As a Battle Team we led the Clan in both points earned by a Battle Team (622) and percentage of Battle Team Members participating in the Event (5 of 6, 83%). Fantastic job to everyone for the turnout and participation in this Event! And now... on to the shinies.

<h2>Projects and Plans for the Future</h2> The Dark Forge Wiki page is beginning to come together, you'll notice it is still listed in the Under Construction Category though. I'm looking for one or two Battle Team members to work with me to finish off the page and shine it up a bit. Specific areas that we'll be focusing on are the Equipment section, namely the Vests and Transports. The whole wiki is open for improvement though, and if you have ideas related to the fictional aspect of the Battle Team let me know.
I am planning on running a Google+ Hangout for the Battle Team on December 30th (New Year's Eve's Eve?) if we have a few people available. We'll have some Battle Team Trivia, chat for a bit, and maybe have a few drinks, just no whiskey in that egg nog for anyone under 21 plz :). First priority for invites will go to members of Dark Forge, we'll fill up open spots with other folks we find on IRC as we go. An email will be coming out soon with more details.
Reports! I'm planning on rolling out detailed monthly reports, similar to this one, and a mid-month report with Competition lists and other news in it for you all. Some things I'll be checking on and including in future reports: ACC Battles, ACC Rank Increases, ACB Contracts, GMRG Rank Increases, Shadow Academy Courses Completed, Dark Side Degrees earned, and naturally... Promotions.
<h2>Competitions</h2> For a list of Competitions which apply specifically to you please make sure you're logged into the DJB website and follow this link. I've also put together a short list of the Competitions which are currently available, by type, for you to read at your leisure. Most of these are ending in the next few days, so if you're interested in participating get your entries in as soon as you can, and CC the House/Clan Summit and myself please.

<h2>Closing</h2> Overall the Battle Team is off to a strong start with the Beyond the Horizon event. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to serve you all as this Team's leader going into 2013, and can't wait to see what other challenges we'll be taking on together.
The one thing the Team does need though is a few up and coming Journeymen members to fill out the ranks a bit. So if you're chatting on IRC, a Google Hangout, or gaming with one of Galere's newer members who may be out there trying to find their way in the House and Club please let them know that Dark Forge's doors are open for them.
I'll be sending out a Google Form with a Poll to each member of the Battle Team with a few quick questions on it in the next day or two. Keep a lookout for it and please complete it, it should take less than a minute to go through. Very easy stuff.
