Warspite, five days after finished invasion on Nfolgai

It has been pretty busy time. The assault on Nfolgai was finished. The forces of the One Sith have been destroyed due to the efforts of three Houses and one Clan of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. House Scholae Palatinae, House Tarentum, House Plagueis and Clan Naga Sadow. The Dark Council had carefully observed their actions and decided that the planet was going to fall under the dominion of House Plagueis.

“As always, our operations are undermined by unfavourable circumstances and members of other units utilize the opportunity to gain an upper hand over us,"thought Xantros.“However, they will learn their lesson soon enough. We shall wait patiently and strike them, when they are not ready to defend themselves. No one shall expect us and all of them shall fall from our hands."

However, no matter of its outcome, the invasion on Nfolgai turned out to be quite beneficial for House Scholae Palatinae. Krath Priest Xantros, the Aedile of the House, watched few Apprentices growing in power and becoming Novices or even Acolytes in very short time. He was glad to observe their progress. The House was in need of such members, who were determined enough to grow in power quickly and to become Dark Jedi Knights soon. They needed support and Xantros was eager to make sure that they receive any help they need from the Summit of House Scholae Palatinae.

Post-Nfolgai situation

First part of the Vendetta has been finished. It has been very exciting to see how it was going to work. First of all, we would like to thank all of the participants for our House. It means much to us to see that there are members, who are willing to devote their time and skills for our community. Thank you very much!

We also know the scores, which already has been relayed by our Quaestor, Xen’Mordin Vismorsus.

House Taldryan scored 2.0, Clan Naga Sadow scored 0.91, House Scholae Palatinae scored 0.8 and House Tarentum scored 0.38. It is the proportion between number of submissions and membership of each unit. For instance, members of our House have submitted 28 entries and there are 35 members of the House. It gives us 0.8.

The next part of Vendetta starts in the beginning of March, so we still have some time to prepare ourselves. I strongly suggest to take up any activity you are able to, particularly if you are a Journeyman. It shalll help you advance through ranks and your character shall become more powerful. More developed character makes it much easier to write a story, as it means that you have more powers at your disposal.

We shall give out merit awards for your participation, when all phases of this Vendetta are finished, so that we may give you as high awards as it is possible. When it comes to awards, we hope to see more participants from our House in next parts of the Vendetta. It shall

Promotions

I am very happy to announce that we had several promotions since my last report. This fact has made me very glad.

Spectre has displayed great activity, which earned him two promotions. He is now at the rank of Acolyte.

Sida'rya Malius has made it to the rank of Novice by submitting an entry to the Ancien Steel ( part of the Vendetta ).

Craus has been promoted to the rank of Novice due to his IRC activity.

Maurr has earned a promotion to the rank of Novice by joining us on IRC.

Great job! Congrats! It has been really deserved and I am sure that you will continue your Journey to the Knighthood with high speed!

Projects

In the last report, I have announced that we will provide more information on one project, which is urgent and requires help of volunteers. Here are more details.

Wiki team

We believe that it is necessary to create a team, which shall be responsible for maintaining House related Wiki articles updated regularly. Members of this team will be tasked with correcting and updating already existing articles, as well as creating new ones. The team membership will be regularly changed, in order to allow other members of the House hone their skills and knowledge in this area. One term will last four months. Team members will be allowed to remain on the team, if there are no volunteers to replace them, but we prefer rotational work system, so that all willing people are allowed to improve their writing and Wiki editing abilities. Wiki articles are usually part of Vendettas and we strongly recommend to apply to this team, so that you gai necessary skills. Both you and our House shall benefit greatly from this.

The team is going to consist of three or four members, depending on the number and quality of applications. Candidates must fulfill the following requirements: - Writing abilities - one's pieces of writing must be readable. We do not require perfect writing skills, but practical knowledge of grammar and spelling rules is required. Attaching one piece of writing ( up to 1 page, TMR 12, any topic ) is not necessary, but shall be highly appreciated and useful for evaluation. - Completed Wiki course - one needs to know basics of Wiki editing. 85% or higher score preferred, but not necessary - Wiki article - we require one article to be available on the DJB Wiki, for the purposes of evaluating one’s skills in this aspect. Lenght and topic of the article are up to the candidates, but it has to include quite detailed data and be properly formatted. - Rank requirement - holding the rank of Protector is preferred, but if you believe that you do have necessary qualities and you may prove this claim, we may bypass this requirement. - Persistence - it is a responsible job to be a member of the Wiki team. One cannot apply and neglect one's duties, if picked up into the team. One need to be persistent and ready to serve throughout whole term, especially in the first two terms ( lot of work with updating old articles ) - Creativity - creating new Wiki articles requires the ability to come up with new ideas, either it would be a suggestion for new article or an ability to add more details to the articles.

If you decide to take up this job, you shall receive certain benefits. In return of your work for the community, we offer you: - Opportunity to learn and develop your skills - it is a chance for you to improve your skills in the area of writing and Wiki editing. We shall provide you suggestions and hints on your way of working, so that you may increase your knowledge and develop your abilities more easily. - Suitable awards - through serving our community, you will be given an award for your work and dedication. It is yet to be decided what type of award it shall be, but you may be sure that you will not get disappointed. - Helpful environment - we shall do our best to support you in your works and provide you advice and any help, which you will need to be successful at this job, including professional and friendly atmosphere. - Post-term credentials - after your term is finished, we will provide you credentials for further use in the future applications. This paper shall include detailed description of your duties and our opinion on your work.

The applications for the Wiki team are open till the 7th of March. It gives you two weeks to fulfill all obligatory requirements and to submit your application.

Final thoughts

If you have read the reprot of the Grand Master, you have probably noticed a mention about changes. The Dark Jedi Brotherhood constantly develops and our House shall develop too. We are going to introduce many improvements to the way our House works in. We want to make it more friendly for both old veterans and new members.

Inexperienced members of our community shall receive more support in their career. They shall find numerous opportunities to learn more about the Brotherhood and to develop their skills in competitions, which shall be adjusted to their skills. In this ways, they will find it much easier to develop advance through ranks and develop their characters.

On the other hand, veterans of the House shall not be left alone. They will be given more opportunities to pass their knowledge to the next generations of members. They will be given a chance to walk a unique path, which will be tailored to their needs and characters. They shall be more involved in the life of our House, both fictionally and in other areas, where their experience and knowledge are invaluable.

However, all these things may be achieved only if we all do our best for the House. It is obvious that the real life has a priority over the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Still, our community may be successful only if we devote as much of our free time to our House and to the Brotherhood as it is possible.
