So this is my post phase 1 of the Dark Crusade Report!

Spectre Cell did well! But not well enough. We lost the planet to the House Taldryan who now believe they are on top again.

I am very proud of what we have accomplished, but I think we should plan to accomplish even more in the next phase of the Dark Crusade which will begin on March 1st!

Kalon Dane Beviin to Dark Forge: I am certainly sorry to see one of our most active and involved members leave this battle team, but Kalon felt he could best serve Arcona by shoring up the Dark Forge battle team. We wish him well in his endeavors and I hope to see him here again!

Nath Voth to Dark Forge: This up and comer was promoted to Battle Team Leader of Dark Forge! Congratulations Nath! I can not wait to see the awesome things you achieve within the Clan Arcona.

The Dark Crusade

Like I said, we lost. We finished second to Taldryan and third in total behind godame Plagueis who actually came in first!

Its not that we didnt place more!

Its not that we didnt have more submissions!

Its that we didnt have more submissions per person than the smaller Clouses. The way this competition is graded happens to disadvantage larger Clauses and even so we came in at 1.84 submissions per member, only 0.26 below the top placed Plagueis which scored 2.0 submissions per member. That is how close we came to victory!

But a loss by any amount is still a loss.

The good news is that with 8 people in the battle team which pumped out 24 submissions total, our own average is an even 3.0

Additionally our seven active participants out of the twenty active participants in the House Galeres, Spectre Cell made up a full 35% of the Houses active participants and with 24 submissions out of 64 submissions total, we made just over 37% of the Houses submissions.

But as we have already covered, we still lost. The Clan Arcona was defeated by two clearly inferior houses. I do not want to see this again so for the next phase of this engagement I believe we should set some goals within Spectre Cell:

The first goal will be for all seven of us who remain in Spectre Cell to partake in the event. Anigrel I can assist you in finding a new master for you and can help guide you along the way until one is found. I want you in this. I want you to earn your spurs.

Our second goal will be to reach 28 submissions, which is approximately four per person. But we should all assume that the other members of the Cell will need help picking up the slack so I encourage everyone to complete as many competitions as possible.

Let me stress this point: Quality only matters in a very minor way. Participation is what will win or lose this round. Entries need to meet a bare minimum of competency but quantity will definitely win over quality as the last round definitely shown us.

Come March 1st every single one of us needs to do as many of these Dark Crusade Competitions as we possibly can so the Clan Arcona will never again have to suffer the indignity of defeat.
