Nikola paced back and forth on the flight deck of the Invicta, gloved hands clasped behind his back. The members of Void were arrayed before him, turned out for an inspection by their new commander. They were the best, and during this crusade, the best was needed.

"Void. You know me. I have been with you only recently, but I have learnt. I have learnt our strengths, our tactics, our skill." He paused, regarding them all in a sweeping gaze.

"I also note our weaknesses."

He let the phrase hang in the air before moving on, beginning to pace up and down the line.

"As your new Commander, I seek to drive us to new heights, to be better than we already are. We are the best. It is not enough. We must improve it."

He stopped again, the line of StealthX fighters, crouched like dark avian predators, behind him.

"Mors Ex Tenebris, brothers."

Well, time for my first ever Battle Team report. I'll try to muddle my way through it. I'm afraid it's going to be a short one.

Now that the dust has settled from phase I of the Dark Crusade, we can look about and take stock of ourselves. We lost Phase I. Second is still a loss, no matter how you look at it. We lost by such a tiny margin as well, which just rubs salt in the wound.

Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Competitions:

Just over half the members of Void participated in the Dark Crusade competitions, netting 13 of 116 of Arcona's entries. The members of Team Arcownage managed to come second in the wiki competition, a great boon for Arcona. Here's Void's breakdown of competitions for Void:

Dark Crusade: As I have said, we placed second in Phase I of the Dark Crusade, losing Krayiss II to Taldrya. We lost by an average of 0.8 entries per person, giving the Clan an average of 1.84 per member. A tiny margin, but a margin nonetheless. We didn't submit enough.

As a Battle Team, we average at 2.6, which is respectable. But it wasn't enough. We need to regroup and improve next time. I know real life has priority, but the window for submission is two weeks wide. I want everyone to be able to scrape time together for at least one event. As has been shown, it can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Now I know this report has been a very dour first report, but I want to give a massive shout out to our own Invictus, who took the time to go above and beyond to create the Arcona activity tracker for Phase I. That's the kind of effort that makes me proud to simply be in Void, never mind leading this great unit.
