_36 ABY, One week after the assault on Rhelg, HSP flagship Warspite

The first part of the Dark Crusade was finished. The result was not satisfying, but at least the casualties among the members of House Scholae Palatinae were not as big as the House Summit expected. A small comfort among many reasons to worry about the situation of the Imperial House.

“Damn it!” thought Xantros with anger. “We are not only facing the problems with fearful Apprentices who are not willing to support their House, but also the technical issue of our outdated archives!”

Cursing, the Aedile of the Imperial House stopped his work for a moment. For other people, it might have been just a minor issue. However, as a Krath, Xantros was aware of how important easily accessible knowledge and information was. The ability to quickly gather necessary data or to recover it from archives often decided the success of a mission. As the second-in-command of the House, he was responsible for making sure that all members of the unit may easily find the information they required, as their lives might have depended on their knowledge of various details, like target specifics or planetary environment.

In such a situation, the seemingly insignificant problem of outdated documents in the archives grew into an urgent matter, which might affect the future of the House. His mind started looking for a solution of that issue instantly and Xantros did not even try to focus on his current task again. He was aware that it would take him much more time to complete it, more than he had on his hand at the moment, while finding a solution to the archives riddle was just a matter of few minutes.

Indeed, it did not take him long time to come up with an idea, which might work. He immediately contacted the Quaestor of the House, Sith Warlord Xen’Mordin Vismorsus, and asked for a meeting. Xen’Mordin agreed and a few minutes later, Xantros knocked on the door of a room, which served as the Quaestor’s office aboard the Warspite.

A brief explanation of his solution to the problem made the Warlord greatly interested in making his plan come true. The idea behind it was relatively easy, though there were certain issues, which made the whole matter a bit risky. Xantros insisted on creation of a small group, consisting of three or four Dark Jedi, who would take care of the House archives.

“They would make sure that the whole databank in our possession would be regularly updated,” explained Xantros. “Their duties would not only include sorting out the data that we currently have stored, but also intercepting all intel, which might be useful for our House.”

“This is certainly an interesting idea,” spoke Xen’Mordin. “How would the members of this special team be chosen?”

“Everyone will be cross-examined on the matter of both their loyalty and necessary skills to become a Warden of Legacy,” answered the Aedile.

“You already have a name for them?”

“Yes, sir. This name is just an adaptation of a Housewide rejuvenation operation, which discussed before the Dark Crusade began.”

“I see. Continue.”

“Possible candidates to the Wardens of Legacy, which is not a separate Battleteam, but a group of volunteers, would need to prove that they are both brave warriors and silent assassins. Working in this task force would require complete discrection and unwavering loyalty to our House as they would have access to top secret data. It would also be necessary to send them on missions to retrieve important documents and artifacts.”

“Do you have someone on your mind?”

“There are few members of our House, who have displayed great combat abilities and strong loyalty to our House during the recent invasions on Nfolgai and… I wish to announce the creation of this task force in hope that we will have enough volunteers to complete a team.” "It is quite risky, isn’t it?” asked Xen’Mordin.

"I must admit that it is. The Wardens of Legacy will have access to many documents and information, which shall remain secret and unknown to the general public,” answered Xantros. “I do not wish even to think about possible consequences, if they betray us or are forced to reveal the information in their possession. However, we may prevent this by regular replacement of whole task group with new members.”

“I can see that you have already thought about the mesaures of safety,” spoke the Quaestor with a slight smile. “Do you really think that this team may be successful in their mission?”

“I cannot predict for certain, but we have to give it a try,” replied the Aedile. “It is extremely important for our House.” “All right, do what you need to do.”

“Thank you, sir.”

18 days later, HSP flagship Warspite, high orbit over Rhelg

All members of the Imperial House were assembled in the briefing room of the Warspite. Despite the fact that the invasion on Rhelg ended just several hours earlier and everyone was fatigued after conducting their various missions during the assault, the Aedile insisted on meeting to discuss an urgent matter.

“As you already know, we have decided to create a new task force, in order to keep our archives updated regularly,” spoke Xantros. “Despite what some of you may think about it, it is an extremely important job for our House and requires great skills and courage. Thus, we have carefully studied applications, which we have received, and after thourough consideration, we have decided to appoint Varkain Athanas and Evant Taelyan as the first Wardens of Legacy.”

After short pause, the Duro Krath Priest continued his speech, “You may probably wonder, why we could not wait until more suitable time to announce creation of the Warden of Legacy. The Wardens are necessary immediately, in order to secure any documents, holocrons other artifacts, which may be intercepted during the Dark Crusade on the sacred worlds of the ancient Sith and may turn out to be very valuable and extremely important for the future of our House. I expect that the Wardens will receive all necessary support from all members of our House, no matter of their position or rank.”_

Second Chapter of the Crusade finished!

Yesterday, we saw the end of the second Chapter of the Dark Crusade. We chose to invade planet Rhelg, known as the headquarters of Ludo Kressh. We have seen several participants from our House aiming for all or almost all events prepared for this part of the Crusade. While the results are not yet known, I would like to thank all of you who participated in this Chapter of the Dark Crusade.

Promotions and Awards

In recent months, we have seen three promotions and numerous merit awards for members of our House.

Firstly, congratulations go to DarJin and Acuben Heat for their first promotions ever, both to the rank of Novice!

Also, I would like to congratulate Dalen Goran, who has earned the promotion to the rank of Protector. I am glad to see that you are one more step closer to the Knighthood!

Getting Knighthood is a great priviledge and honour. Let me congratulate Shadow Nighthunter, who has very recently been promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Welcome among the Knights and enjoy your own lightsaber!

Equite promotions require a lot of efforts to earn them. It is particularly true, when it comes to the highest of Equite ranks. Congratulations to our beloved Quaestor, Xen’mordin Vismorsus, for his well-deserved promotion to the rank of Sith Warlord!

Valkas Tamalar has received an Anteian Cross for his tremendous recruitment efforts since January. Congratulations!

Archangel, Rayne, Koryn, Evant Taelyan, Shadow Nighthunter and Spectre have been awarded Dark Crosses for their activity and service to the House. Congratulations!

I am sorry for the delay in annoucning the Wiki team, but I have decided to include this in the report. I am pleased to announce that Varkain Athanas and Evant Taelyan have been chosen to become the first Wardens of Legacy. The intro fiction has been written for sake of this fact!

Final thoughts

Recent promotions and awards have proved that there are several excellent members in our House, who display outstanding dedication to our community. Their activity and service to the House shows they are brilliant examples of a simple rule: the more you do for the House, the more you receive in return. The higher your activity is, the sooner you get promotions and the more we can reward you with better medals.

Follow the examples set by the awarded members of our House and you will earn promotions, medals and the respect of your fellow House mates. Bear in mind that your activity determines various privileges, which are available in our House and in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Featuring in the report intro stories, featuring in the HSP Chapters, the right to become a Master and a custom lightsaber are fruits of the rank advancement, which is inseparably bound to the level of your activity.

I can guarantee that we will do our best to make sure that your activity is rewarded properly. There is no greater pleasure for us than to recommend a promotion or a merit award for you. However, it is up to you, whether you give as a chance to rewarded you for your work.

So, do not be afraid to compete against others, even if you do not place. Do not get discouraged if you fail at a SA exam. Go for any activity you like and you are able to. If you are a gamer, you may fulfill most of elective requirements ( complete “X of the following” ) by TOR. If you are a writer, you may get Shadow Academy Degree and participate in writing competitions. There are plenty of chances to earn yourself a promotion, especially in the upcoming months, due to the Dark Crusade.
