Obelisk Sergeant Report

Hey kids,

Just a quick update:

We have Juda drawing us some new armor which looks exciting from the discussions we've had. We've also been assigned our fictional assets. Sam and I sat down last night and hacked through the Arcona possessions, and I reckon I got us a good deal:

10 Mandalorian Supercommandos + 1 Clan Chief (Erinos Clan)

10 Medics

100 Special Forces Commandos (90 men + 10 officers)

1 sniper/spotter pair

And I think we have a MAAT in there somewhere too, but I think I'll try and barter some more once we've got the rest of this stuff sorted. Basically, we're in charge of a large portion of the standard special forces in Arcona's military, sharing some with Dark Forge or whatever they're called.

In the mean time, S'nar has been making big strides towards DJK, and has just got JH. Vynn's on LoA for vacation or something, and I've heard from the rest of you. Now, I want to talk more about these roles we have in the squad. When I first asked, I'm not sure I was clear enough, so I'll try again.

Soulfire is a commando unit that goes in blasters first, then switches to lightsabers if things get too close. That means no fucking Ezio rip-offs going in with knives or katanas or any of that horseshit. We're as true to life as we possibly can be. As such, there are various roles you have to choose from. Naturally, it's first come, first serve. The options are as follows:

Sniper/Spotter. These guys work in pairs, and stay back from the actual fighting. No Call of Duty Bullshit where you run around headshotting people at extreme close range. No. You guys find a good spot, camp out, and pop skulls from a kilometer away. Needless to say, I've come up with some SWEET weaponry for you guys, including the Star Wars equivalent of a Barrett .50 cal, and even a portable rail gun designed to hull Walkers. You guys will be our overwatch, and you will fucking NAIL anything over 500m away. If you want to be in that unit, sound out.

Next up, the Tech specialist. This sucker specializes in fixing and breaking things. Be it repairing equipment, hijacking vehicles, or even killing someone with a pair of pliers, it's here. If getting lubed up with engine oil and beating people about the head with a hydrospanner is your thing, say so by all means. We don't judge in Soulfire ;)

For all you bitches with an iPhone, look no further than Comm Specialist. They intercept enemy communications, jam enemy communications, provide co-ordination with Arcona Actual, and they even have an app which can track calories. May not seem glamorous, but trust me, in the battlefield it's essential.

Now, the role you'll have to fight Celahir for: Slicer. Think Hacker, but Star Wars. Basically, if it's running IOS 5.0 or higher, he makes it his bitch. Slicing into computers, droids, ships, whatever. The digital world is his dungeon slave and he delights in electronic warfare. The sky's the limit with this one.

For those who want to be a lone wolf in a pack of lone wolves, look no further than our Scout/Point Man! Moves ahead of the main unit and spots anything we need to make into a veneer, the Scout has to have a thrill for danger. As always, cool equipment is available to all our roles, but I'm particularly proud of the Scout's - think stealth armor, but more bad-ass. More to come.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that these all sound well and good, but you don't want to be shuffling around in the undergrowth communing with squirrels. I get it. I understand where you're coming from. Which is why I've got just the thing for you. For those who don't suffer structures to live, we have our Demolitions specialist! Given a big-assed bag of custom-designed explosives, anything you come across, gizkas, AT-ATs, Cethgus... they all end up looking the same after you've started pulling pins. I highly recommend anyone who may or may not have burned down their high school for not understanding their pain choose this job. it's a doozey.

Now, lobbing grenades around and sticking what's essentially a big-assed lump of chewing gun to supporting pylons may be all well and good, but where's the range? I completely agree. This is probably my favorite role in Soulfire - the Heavy Weapons Specialist. You gotta be strong to do this one, though, as the gear is formidable. Think Missile Launchers. Think Gattling Lasers. Think underslung composite beams. Think lighting a cigar from the burning element of a primed flame thrower that is an ATTACHMENT to all of these. This role was previously filled by Malidir Erinos Arconae, an absolute legend in Arcona. Xar Kahn followed him and dragged the standard down by being all Australian (HAASMAYTE), so I want one of you suckers to redeem it and start using the catchphrase "Anyone need a really big gun?" and grab their crotch. Trust me. You maybe hear jokes about compensating once. Once.

But wait, there's more! This role is actually filled already, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what Juda will be doing as our Medic: he heals people. Don't get me wrong, he kills people too, but not people who are in Soulfire. When you're riddled full of holes and need patching up, this red-haired lunatic will be there chuffing a smoke, applying bacta, and showing you just how appalling his bedside manner is.

Now, it's first come first serve, so think fast. Also, if you're not replying to this email, I'll be placing you somewhere myself, and I'm guessing you probably won't enjoy that ;P

Hope you have fun choosing, and you'll be hearing more from me in a bit

Dash out.
