Hey kids,

So, we've had a crazy few weeks. First off, the Crusade. Azasell - 6/6 Celahir 3/6 Etah 4/6 Nath 3/6 Riverche 4/6 S'nar 6/6 Juda 2/6 Vynn 0/6, Teroch 6/6.

3 of us managed to get 6/6 event participation! That is incredible work. As for the rest of you, I'm genuinely pleased reading this. 3/4 events done when you don't have much free time is still a great commitment. Vynn, I'm excited to see what you can bring to table next Phase! Soulfire, you did good ;)

Now, we've got a month off, so to keep us occupied during the down-time, Sang and Ceth have organised a Galeres event with some competitions and stuff. I encourage you all to participate, as it looks quite fun, will keep you in shape for the next phase of the Crusade, and...yeah, the whole point of the DB is to have fun. These sort of events are what the club is made for ;)

Right, now onto some unpleasantness. Earlier, Morrighan had to leave us. The reason was that he wasn't really fitting in with my style of leadership, which is unfortunate, but it brought to light a key issue I really want to hammer home to the rest of you: If you have any issues, problems, queries, get in contact with me. Email me. I have a smart phone, I will reply inside a maximum of 8 hours. If I'm on IRC, grab me. You must NOT be afraid to come to me. Despite this playful, boyish exterior beats the heart of a ruthless, sadistic maniac, I know, and I know that can be intimidating, but the main thing here is that it's my job to turn my innate sadism to protect and help you lot. Someone from outside Soulfire giving you shit? Come to me. I'll make them only be able to shit on a full moon, with three surgeons on hand, and scaffolding required around the legs. You're confused by something DB-wise? Come to me. There is literally nobody else in Galeres that knows this club as well as I do. You want some help with promotion requirements and how to understand them? Come to me. I'm the Praetor to the MAA and literally sign off on all promotions, especially the journeymen ones. You have ideas for the squad? Come to me! I'd love to hear them. I'm always looking for ways to make Soulfire more badass. The point is, I want to hear from the lot of you a lot more. I'm a cool guy. I promise. And I'm scarily loyal to my members. I will defend any of you to the hilt, even if I privately think you're wrong, just to prove that you don't fuck with Soulfire. But I need co-operation from you. I need to hear from you all more regularly, so I know what I can do to help you. I'm not a mind reader.

Now, onto other news. S'nar, you're hyperactive XO has managed to somehow claw his way to DJK, and has immediately taken on an apprentice, who is doing well, by all accounts. This brings me to my next point. All Journeymen, I want to hear from you ASAP with the following info: Who is your Master? What have you done since your last promotion? And is there anything you're not sure about in the promotion requirements? S'nar managed to get DJK inside two months. I see no reason why we can't get the rest of you to DJK by at latest Christmas ;)

We've come a hell of a long way in a short time, but I don't want to stop now. We've got a long way to go before we're declared elite again ;)
