Void Squadron BTL report

header
Valtiere strode down the Corridoor of the Invicta, parting officers before him like a grey tide. Stood behind him was his new apprentice, Tycho Isod. A Krath, yes. But an ambitious Krath. A former politician, an individual that managed to manipulate the tangled web of politics to his own whim. He liked how the youth thought. The young man walked with quiet confidence, but kept quiet, out of respect to his master. He knew his place, of that Valtiere had made sure. Both were clad in Void flight suits, the black stark against the pale grey of the corridoor.

They entered the flight deck where Void Squadron were arrayed at attention. Isod joined the line, and stood at attention. He could see a flash of pride in the young man's eyes. Good. He should be proud to be in the best. Especially on such a day.

"Brethren. Today is an important day. Not only have new pilots joined us through the trials, but we honour one of our greatest. He has racked up a higher kill count than any of us, has shown the most aptitude out of you all, has gone above and beyond, and bled for this team. Nadrin Erinos Arconae, step forwards."

His master stepped forward, customary mask hiding his features. Keeping him unreadable, for the most part. Nikola opened a black and red lacquered box, the symbol of Void carved into the wood. He opened the box, presenting it to his former master. The award was a simple thing, the symbol of void wrought in silver, wings flaring out to either side of it, but it was the greatest honour for a Void pilot. And Nadrin was the first. Valtiere looked down at his master.

"Thank you, flight leader, for all you have done."

Void Business:

Righty-o, after a little bit of fluff (I am a sucker for a bit of fiction), it's time to crack on with my month overdue report, covering all that's gone on in the past month.

Following the AWOL check, Tirano has left us, banished to the rogues for not responding within the allotted time. We have an infusion of new blood to step up, however, so everyone welcome Kalon and Tycho Isod into the team!

We also have new leaders in the forms of Legorii and Montressor, who are already trying to interact with the membership as much as possible to take Qel-Droma in a new, more focussed direction guided by you lot. If any of you have any good ideas, shoot me an email so I can pass them on to them.

Awards:

All those awards since my last report:

Kalon: Anteian Cross.
Nadrin:2 Gold Novae; 1 Silver Nova; 2 Clusters of Ice; 6 Clusters of Fire
Naradas: 1 Scroll of Indoctrination
Nikola: 2 Gold Novae; 2 Clusters of Ice; 2 Crescents with Emerald star; 1 Crescent with Amethyst star; 1 Crescent with Sapphire star; 1 Crescent with Topaz star
Wes: 1 Gold Nova; 1 Bronze Nova; 1 Crescent with Quartz star; 10 clusters of Fire Great job to everyone that won an award these past two months. Let's keep it up!

Service studs for the Dark Crusade Pase I Chapter I:

Dalk: 0 Kalon: 0
Nadrin: 2
Naradas: 0
Nikola: 1
Snabbie: 0
Tycho: 0
Valerius: 0
Wes: 0

We also have the first awarding of the pinions to one of our members. One member, who has fastidiously applied himself to this crusade, always going above and beyond the minimum, bagging 5 Novae during the Crusade so far, and participating in 21 of 23 events. Nadrin Erinos is the first to be given the pinions. Congratulations to him. Let's hope he keeps up his valuable contribution.

Promotions:

Tycho Isod to Acolyte.
Nikola Valtiere to Sith Warrior.

Competitions:

Well, the House divided competitions are well and truly over, with myself taking home the title of winner. A well done to all who contributed, and a thanks to all those who organised it. I look forward to seeing more such events in the future down-times we have.

Dark Crusade:

Well, we won Svolten, a barren rock hostile to all life. I would say that makes Odan-Urr the true winners here, but hey, we get to plant another flag. Void did very well, within Arcona, coming out with an average of 1.4, ahead of the average of 1.23. So, good that we beat the average, but I want us to be hitting above 1.8 for each chapter of this phase. Step it up next time. Hopefully, after the recent AWOL check, we'll have a higher average number of entries within the unit. We've got tough competition coming up. We can't be complacent, rely on others to keep our average high. Here are the standings from the latest chapter:

Nadrin: 6
Nikola: 5
Wes: 2
Kalon: 0
Dalk: 0
Naradas: 0
Snabbie: 0
Valerius: 0
Tycho: 0

In conclusion: We did well. Let's do better.
