Greetings Folks, Welcome to yet another installment of your weekly Aedile report, bringing you the latest and greatest news from around the DB and in Taldryan. We're still in a much needed rest period between phases of the Crusades (which in case you forgot, you guys kicked ass in last time around), so not a crazy amount of news in the offing for folks, just a regular amount of news… which is still a lot. So, time to read out the rundown.
Big development of the week has been the selection of planets for the next round in the Crusades which will be taking place from August 18th to September 1st. There were once again three planets up for grabs, Jaguada (it's got a moon! Bitches love moons), Kalsunor and Korriz. We're going to be battling the dirty light jedi from HOU on Jaguada, which should be fun fictionally. Arcona hunted CP to the ends of the universe to engage them along with Tarentum, and CSP and CNS round out the selections on the planet of Korriz.
I'm not going to do the whole scope of this news justice, so basically I'm going to link the Headmaster's report here and let him explain this monumental shift in the DB for our Novitiate ranks. What I want to focus on though, is the advent of the Hall itself, and this is of itself very important for our active Journeymen, already through the novitiate, and working toward promotions to DJK. This is the invention of the "Dark Pundit- Essentials" degree that has been created in conjunction with the new Hall.
One requirement Journeymen can use in their quest for promotion is the acquisition of a Dark Side Degree. The Dark Pundit Essentials is counts toward such requirements, and is easily achievable by any member of Taldryan in less than an hour. It contains lots of basic information that you should already know, and helps give you a primer to the new Light Side crap that has invaded the DB. So basically, go do these informative, short, and relatively easy courses, earn your degree, and help yourself advance in the DB. Woo!
OK, so we had all of our Nova for our dominance in the last round of the Crusades go out, and there were a lot. We also had a couple internal competitions end, and some degrees awarded this time around.
First off, for Last Week's RTFR, congrats to all who located the image of the person in question, who was of course the Jedi Science Wunderkind Danni Quee. For those of you who just did tineye/google image search, way to be a kill-joy.
Congrats go to Kazmir, Nero and Halc for placing 1, 2, 3.
In Retden's recent Rebuild competition, that featured a surprisingly engaging zombie related flash game, I'd like to congratulate Raist, Carissus and Ben for placing in the top 3. Well done guys!
No worries this week folks, there will be no RTFR to make you feel guilty for not reading the fucking report. Instead, there's a return of the ever popular JRDC, hosted by our very own resident Grand Master of Awesome, Jac Cotelin. Find details here and make the silly old bugger laugh himself silly.

Both Rian and I are working on long term wiki based projects in fleshing out Taldryan's Planetary Dominion, and Taldryan's Military (including NPCs). We've had a lot of help from Kazmir and other members of Tal during this process, but we can always use more help. If you'd like to jump in on the Dominion project, email Rian who's heading up that side, or if you want to take a stab at creating some NPCs for our military, send me an email personally.
