Awards and Honoraries

*Jason picked up 5 Clusters of Fire
*Levathan placed first in DJB Tabletop Gaming, and 6 Clusters of Ice. Levathan also took first place in both Jen Kaari competitions: Puzzling Wiki Puzzles and Laughing into the New Year!
*Garloaf continued his charge by hosting at the last minute #tarentum trivia, earning a Legion of the Scholar. He also passed a couple more Shadow Academy courses and saw his SA Society rank go up to III: Sophomore
*Hades passed his ToR Basics exam and had his character sheet approved

Competitions

There are currently no Jen Kaari events and there likely won't be any until February. They will be smaller events so as not to conflict with the planned House level events.

That said, there are a host of events across the Brotherhood to participate in. I encourage you to check them out by logging into the DB site and going to the competitions page (this will automatically bring up competitions that you can participate in instead of everything).

I do want to highlight the Voice's competition concerning the death of Orv: https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/competitions/7498 I have plans to participate in it (in fact, I'm going to start my entry after I finish this email. I promise I do care about you guys and the team).

AWOL Check

While the check has not ended, there are members on this team who got a warning to login to the DB site, or they'll be sent to the Rogues. Please login to the website and rejoin the land of the living (you know, that fictional, internet based DB land of the living).

Conclusion

Recently, there has been discussion amongst the leadership of the house about a few particular topics. The one that I want to highlight is "what is expected of our leaders?" Now, I gave my response, thus stapling a huge sign to my forehead. If I don't life up to those expectations that I just wrote, then what good am I?

But, I want to branch out from that and share with you one particular aspect of my answer. I don't expect to stay as the Battleteam leader. Not because I don't like it, or that I'm bored with it, but because, let's be honest, I'm a DJM. There isn't much left for me in the way of promotions, and there is only a few awards that I don't have. ​ I want someone to come along- much preferably a newer member looking to advance, but not necessarily so- who wants this position. I'll gladly hand it off to them (with the blessing of the summit, of course) so they can use it to advance. I'll be active and off on the sidelines if I'm ever needed again.

So, I'm not resigning right now. I've not planned to resign. But, if you want this job because it'll help you earn your next promotion, or a medal, and help you move up, definitely contact myself, Raiju, and Scion.

And that is all the pointless banter for this go around.
