Alanna sat in the old library of an outpost located in an unimportant system. Flicking through medical text books had got her nowhere with this infection. Mystical as it was, it didn’t seem likely to succumb to any of the weaknesses of its more vulnerable biological counter-parts.

Once she had pieced together enough of the evidence coming out of her archaeological dig on Antei, she thought she might have uncovered an ancient warning left by Okemi, and had gone off world to investigate. Unfortunately, Trevarus didn’t seem able to control his underlings; the infection had been released and had taken hold even as she deduced the threat.

Returning to Antei, Consul Gord Darkonian had confirmed her fears with news of the Deputy Grand Master’s odd behaviour, and evidence of infection within Clan Satal Keto. He had also provided her with very interesting data obtained from study of his infected clan member.

Pondering the nature of the infection, she had met with the Lord Chamberlain and the Sith High Warrior. Each meeting these days just seemed to give her more to worry about – that time it was Maeda. Not that she could do much about Maeda, but she could certainly try and do something about the infection; and so she was sat in the library of this cold, quiet outpost.

Alanna sighed. The speed and ease with which the unknown entity was spreading through the Brotherhood was worrying.

Returning to her tome, Alanna once again scanned the texts on mystical consciousness. Another fruitless day, another day wasted as the infection wormed its way through her brethren, anothe... Alanna sat up.

Re-reading the passage, a smile crossed the Krath High Priestess’s face.

Settling into her quarters back on the Legacy, the Priestess drummed her fingers on the desk. Knowing that the ship was heading back to Lyspair as fast as humanely possible was doing nothing to satisfy Alanna’s impatience. If the speed didn't increase soon, she might just have to start adding the crew's body parts to the generators for extra fuel...
