Clarification on SA tests

Two items:

1) Every now and then, the Shadow Academy staff receives poetry or prose pieces in an exam that were not created by the student but rather copied or slightly modified copyrighted works.

While most of these submissions were due to non-knowledge of the rules and thus resulted in lenient penalties, this problem has become too common.

Thus, the Krath Core, Krath Poetry and Krath Runon tests now contain clear reminders about plagiarism and what is acceptable - read: original works only.

With no one able to excuse themselves on non-knowledge anymore, future plagiarism in SA tests will thus be dealt with the same way as plagiarism in competitions - read: anyone who tries will have an encounter with Yacks.

2) In the Academy rules it states that you can gain Acolyte by passing your Order's Core test and the IRC Basics test. Due to the "order-ish" platforms not being tied to the Order anymore, this has been abolished. You may now use any Core test and IRC Basics to gain Acolyte rank. If however you wish to do a test that is not within your Order, you will have to claim your promotion manually (by mail to the Headmaster listing your dossier number, name and the courses you are claiming the promotion for) - the current automated system does not support this particular setup. If you are at the rank of Novice and have passed both IRC Basics and any of the Core tests outside your own order, you thus need to claim your promotion on that basis.

What happens if we quote it properly instead and give credit to the original author instead? :P

It's a 0 point answer, but you at leats avoid the Yacks :)

I recall that there was some ambiguity in one of the test questions, where it said something to the effect of "Provide an example of a poem..." etc., not explicitly stating that the example provided needed to be an original work by the applicant.

Has the language of the test questions been reviewed to correct such problems, as to not confuse people?
