Hello all,

I'm sure many of you know what I am about to announce, and that doesn't make it any less special to announce it. I've been gone all day and just waiting for a moment at the computer to post this.

I think it's fitting that over the American holiday of Thanksgiving I think not only about my family, but about members of the DB. While I am thankful for every member, there are some key members that stand out from the rest. Today and everyday, I am thankfull for Alanna.

I remember when I first returned to the DB almost five years ago, Alanna was one of the shining stars within Taldryan. She showed there that she was destined for greatness in this club, and has proven that she is surely capable of it. When we needed someone to step in and revitalize the Krath, Alanna was there. She has served as KHP for a long time and has established herself within the lineage of Priestesses. I don't think there is anyone who could have done a better job.

But I am more thankfull for Alanna herself. She is always a bright spot on the Council. Her presence on IRC and through email is always enough to lift the spirits. She can joke with us and put up with our crap, but then when push comes to shove she knows what she wants out of her experiences here and knows how to get them. Alanna has the outlook that I wish I could have myself a lot of times. She is a positive person and a great influence to all.

I am honored to be able to elevate Alanna to the rank of Dark Jedi Master.

In doing this, I have received great assistance from the esteemed Yacko. He has challenged Alanna to a duel in the Antei Combat Centre as a test of her skills. She has successfully defeated a Master on the Council, and as such, has proven herself worthy of joining the ranks of the few and proud. Please take time to read the battle here. Alaric. Please move the battle into the Archives to be distinguished from the rest.

Further, my staff has collected some notewothy reccomendations that I have uploaded here (.doc). There were more reccomendations that are in my vast arrays of email. I will forward those to Alanna as I find them again.

Alanna, thank you for being you and doing all that you do. You are a geat friend and I appreciate you.
