Some people have been worrying because they have been drawn against NPCs for round 1 of the ladder. Don't worry - this is actually a good thing!
We didn't have quite enough people signed-up for 7 rounds of ladder, so some people would have got 'buys' through the first round. We decided to make this a little more fair, and have stipulated that in order to progress to round 2, those people must at least complete a battle... against an NPC.
As long as those people fighting NPCs complete their battles, they will advance to the next round. This is effectively a 'buy', but at least requires a little effort on their part.
The draw was completely random, and being placed against a NPC is actually a good thing - so stop worrying ;o)
NB: Round 1 will commence tomorrow. It will be a fast 2+2 battle over two days. You have been warned - be ready!

So when is the battle supposed to end, sunday or monday?
ANd who will write the NPC's post?
The NPCs belong to several people, I believe Arania has the largest number. Remember however, you do not need to DEFEAT the NPC. All you have to do is to complete your battle (aka write the two posts you have to do in the battle)
The NPCs may belong to multiple persons, but the stories will be written by Arania and Alanna. It might be possible for example, that an NPC's first post will be written by Ara, while the second is written by Lannie.

Round 1 of the ACC will run Sat-Sun inclusive (you can post as soon as your battle is set up - we're doing them now). We realise this is very short, but we have to get through 7 rounds!
