Edit: There was an informal poll through some of the players using the SA server, and one of the responses was that the bonus map pack from Raven wasn't on the server, and that they should be. I uploaded the map pack, assuming that most people had those maps, since it was an official release. That was an error on my part, and I apologize. It seems not as many people have those maps as I was believing. You can find the maps at FileFront.com. That link will put you right at the download page for them.
Just a quick bit of info. It was recently brought to the attention of Spears and myself that some people were dissatisfied with the JA server, mostly regarding JA+ being the mod on there. JA+ is now off, and I decided to try out JA Reloaded. Anyone using the SA server, if you want to give feedback to either Spears, or myself, it'd be much appreciated. The server is meant to fit the needs of the members, and will be adjusted as is necessary, you just need to let us know what you think.
Also, it hadn't even occured to me that the additional Raven maps hadn't been uploaded. I didn't think about it until that was also mentioned. That's been rectified. As far as uploading custom maps, skins, hilts, etc., all you need is Spears' permission. If you'd like something added to it, get a hold of him, see how he feels about it, and if he approves it, I'll get it done.
I'm also going to get a hold of Jac and Mav, and discuss with them what I can offer for getting people working on DB-specific custom maps. Maybe I can get an official nod on a Sapphire Blade, or greater, for people who'd like to create maps of the Shadow Academy, Clan holdings, the Dark Hall, etc. More info on that as I get it. But for those of you who have Radiant, be prepared. For those who don't, maybe you ought to try getting it, and see if you might want to learn to use it and help the DB with some custom maps.

Couldn't we just bring back the Golden Crest of the Strategist for map creation instead of ruining the merti medal system further? :P
I second DS' comment - not so much for devaluatrion (a good map of the Dark Hall or SA is worth a very big reward seeing the hundreds of hours that go into it) but because we have essentially agreed that the gems be unique per person - and this would put us into severe reward trouble if a gem-monster like Mejas (DS/ED/RS/AK/SB) did a map - neither SL nor GC would even remotely fit here.
I'd say, use those Strategist crests and, if needed, give the top echelon a substantially higher XP value than it is planned to have now, making it a de-facto equivalent to a SB or RS in value and status.
Yeah, but making crappy maps and giving them out randomly shouldn't deserve something as high or equivalent to a SB or RS. I think they should be at least evaluated by the players before randomly awarding high medals, possibly by someone who has no idea if the map even works.
The Crest has three levels... they can be given out by appropriate comparison of the value of the submission. Not a real problem :) (e.g. top level -> SB, mid level -> SC, low level -> DC)
Actually, I'd love a little faith sometimes. ;) 1) SBs or something of that nature would not be given out for "crappy maps, randomly thrown together." If someone earns one, it's going to have to be worth it. 2) This was a heads up on an idea I had. I haven't even sought approval yet from Jac and Mav, because they've been busy with stuff. I also have to come up with criteria, etc. 3) I promise, I really do consider things, and weigh them for value. :) 4) I might be getting rid of the Crest of the Strategist, and merging what it would be awarded for with the Dark Side Scroll. Reason? You get a DSS for submitting to the DV. You get a CoS for submitting to the (eventual) mission compendium. Why do we need two medals that basically reward for similar intentions?
