more issues have been brought forward. it's not doable to play yet, since this would be unfair to a lot of people. as soon as LA makes us able to play online decently, the tournament will be the first thing to happen.

Umm, yeah... until RC is patched this tournament isn't really going to work. If you've played MP and gone to see the servers list it works the same as JO first did. You only see a small percentage of how many games are out there which I assume is based on location. I've tested this with a number of people when we tried to host games. And without the Connect to IP button working, that pretty much screws any of us who do not live closer to other DBers who play RC.
Not to mention the fact that anyone hosting will have a 0 ping compared to a 100+ ping, which is a huge advantage in a game like RC. This isnt original JK where everyone weapon has a 15 foot splash radius, these guns are precise and that much lag difference will be a huge problem.
I think, instead of throwing out this tourney just to make it look like we're "supporting RC" is a mistake. If we just wait another week or two for some server-side patches and support it could actually be done well. And, with all these inadequacies we're going to reward something as coveted as Novas? Not the best way to kick off a new game.
Sorry to poke holes through the master plan everyone, but I'd rather see Korras hold off on the tourney then see it be unfair for certain people. If you wanna blame anyone for the lack of tourney, though, blame the guys who didn't do much MP testing for RC :P
Actually, you get a 0 ping but lots of other issues which make you appear more lagged than anyone else. At least that happens to me.
Now i hope they patch this up soon and give us a password option, too.
