Operation: Polished Swords

The first competition of the new Guard will begin on Monday, April 4. All members of the Guard and all DC members should have an email in their inbox with details. If you did not receive one please email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and I will send you a copy.

Good luck to all!

Ok, I knew I would forget something in the email and information, so I'll post it here hoping that everyone will get the info. Matches may be played at any time during the week, they are not just restricted to Gaming Nights. However, matches played for Gaming NIghts will also count.

Matches should be reported via email to me with the following information: who played, their PIN numbers, the score and what platform was used. I want the loser to email me that info and cc the winner. In the case of a team match designate one member on the losing team to email me that info and cc the other members. If the info is wrong I want the other team to be able to know what was sent.

Each week I will post the scores in my report so everyone knows how the competition is progressing.

Does it have to be the loser of a match to report? Couldn't the folks playing decide which person emails you and CC the others? Some folks may not want to report after losing, then again, some winners may not feel like reporting. I don't see why it would matter, as long as the other person(s) involved are CCed.

Fair enough. Just decide amongst yourselves and cc everyone else. I just need the score from someone.

btw, "Operation: Polish Swords" isn't the real name of the competition. Ask Jasru what the name of the comp is really supposed to be. :P

Usually the loser reports in these sort of things because it makes it easier for the competition host to be sure the match report is genuine (you're hardly going to lie about losing).

Hard to make up scores if you're CCing the loser... If there's no CC Jasru will probably go "wtf" and if it's made up and you do CC someone then they'll probably go "wtf" I'd trust myself to report moreso then someone who loses to me because, lets face it, there are a lot of poor sports in the DB.
