A frequent discussion among some ranking members these past few weeks has been on how to improve the worth and quality of the Cluster of Fire. There are various proposals that are being worked on; one in particular has been approved.
It is my pleasure to introduce the Elite Cluster of Fire!
As many of you know, the Grand Master's Royal Guard has been struggling to regain its identity for a long time. This new ECF is aimed at helping to bring a little fire back into the group.
The medal will be awarded for defeating a Guardsman in a multiplayer battle. This ECF is not awarded per 3 losses To prevent abuse by people who pick on less skill Guardsmen and avoid matches with Guardsmen they can't beat, the ECF will normally only be awarded during single elimination Bracket Tournaments. The ECF will also be offered during Sunday Tournaments but is limited to 1 per defeated opponent (so you cant pick on the same
opponent 5-6 times to accumulate 5-6 ECFs).
Khobai will have further announcements on when the medal will be available.

Two minor clarifications:
1) Everybody is eligible to win Elite CFs. You do not need to be in the GMRG to win them. You only need to beat someone who is in the GMRG. Also, the number of ECFs a person has will be one of the criteria used when determining whether or not an individual warrants invitation into the GMRG.
2) The limit on ECFs will be one per match. So if you play a 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, etc... against Guardsmen you still only get one ECF. Although, I will also supplement team matches with normal CFs in addition to the single ECF.
Will you calculate who gets ECFs through the database or are we responsible for somehow reporting them other than just through the database?
I'm not sure how the match reporting will work yet. I know Shadow wants to revamp the match reporting system to make it idiot proof. I'll talk to him and figure something out.
